.. is this the only way to play now? Since I've been a Commander and not been crazed for points it's all I play. It's *so* much more intense!
HC HQ is more exciting imo. although SD takes alot of skill. thats where you find players who DONT use LMGs or p90s.
Harcore S&D is all i play and have really played, but on tactical servers though and NO kill cam.
Most people who are good at it only use silenced weapons with Claymore or Bomb Squad(as so many use claymores every class i have has bomb squad), UAV Jammer and Extreme Conditioning or Dead Silence.
P90's are used a lot in S&D as there are plenty of maps good for rushing with it. As its the gun you can use for running the furthest distance with extreme conditioning, it gives you a big advantage getting near to the other teams spawn straight away.Ashlite wrote:

P90, good with it?
the P90 is one of the most OP'ed guns in the game, i dont wanna get into a massive argument here, but the gun has the highest ROF, insanely accurate when not zoomed in, and medium power.
do you think that using dead silence, UAV jammer, and claymores make you a good player?UK|Hooligan wrote:

or bomb squad for that matter?

I never said it takes skill use the P90, i said its used a lot, so read before you get your brain in gear. I also said silence weapons with no mention of any gun in particular.
Neither did i say using the perks i suggested makes you a good player, i said the better players use them. The top of the leader board in Hardcore S&D will mostly have the perks i suggested used by the player. With a lot of hours only playing the game in this mode i have yet see anything different.

exactly. better players don't use things like claymores, or dead silence.
learn to crouch walk, or look behind you.

then how can one be 'good at it', but not have skill with it?UK|Hooligan wrote:

Yes they do, here:Ashlite wrote:

Whats looking behind you got to do with anything? How do you supose you quickly get to the other sisde of the map if needed for cover, to plant or defend with crouch, it takes you far to long. Yes its good while traveling short distances, but sometimes you need to move quickly.Ashlite wrote:

You dont need that much skill with it, you aim and point, but in my first post i pointed out you travel the furthest distance with extreme conditioning with this gun, thats one reason to use it.Ashlite wrote:

Hardcore S&D is the biggest campfest ever in gaming....
It is the most boring gamemode in COD4

Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Hide and Seek tbh
Hardcore S&D is the only gamemode I've played as of late, and I personally feel it'd be pretty hard to move me to another gametype. I love S&D...you really have to be careful with that one life of yours.
Congratulations. You just summed up every weapon in CoD4.Ashlite wrote:

Gtfo. Seriously.
Who gives a flying fuck what takes more skill.
Not everyone is as concerned about appearing "pr0 l33t" on the internet.
What's the big draw of HC? I played it for a while, but being able to kill with a single round from nearly any gun seems to make the "spray and pray" tactic far too powerful.
S&D is fun when I'm not really looking for a hectic battle.

If you can find any good servers, then maybe.
You do know that the P90 has the lowest base damage (20 - 30) out of all the SMGs, right? The only thing is its high rate of fire that kills people quickly... The P90 is just overrated pretty much...Ashlite wrote:

1) As for crouching in buildings I do it sometimes to reduce on noise but the risk is you cant really run around you have to stand up and run around and by that time your dead.
2) Cry more about what perks/guns are okay to use and which ones are uber ghey and take no l33t sk!llz I really don't want to hear you cry about how the P90 owns you because everyone runs around with uav jam silenced p90 and dead silence and rapes you from behind.
Good Day

I played HC HQ up until I hit lvl 55. It's sad that they don't have an operations challenge of winning a certain amount of HQ games, that's probably my favorite mode.
But yes, I agree. I've pretty much only been playing HC S&D. Very intense, very nerve-wracking, extremely insane moments go on in those games. They really suck you in.

Search and destroy is a good gamemode but forget the hardcore. Sometimes it's intense but the annoyance of most guns killing in one shot (and all of them at most two) puts a damper on it.
That's what I like about it. It's more about tactics and getting the drop on someone rather than just running and gunning. Sometimes it can be a bit frustrating though. But still, I love the rush you get from sneaking around trying to take out everyone or plant the bomb. I'm more of a stealth gamer (I love Metal Gear Solid, Manhunt, etc.), so that's probably why I like it so much.Fat_Swinub wrote:

Love HC, Domination is fun, S&D is great too. Favorite Kits would be either a M16A4 with Suppressor, M4A1 with Suppressor, or MP5SD. All of them have juggernaut, claymore, and Steady Aim. Love those claymores, its like having a extra person on your team. Throw them down at one bombsite, and you can head to the other and cover that yourself.
Two other things. Whats with all the idiots that run around and make a shitload of noise. I have gotten so many easy kills that way. Do they just not know that it gives away their position? Also, what is Tactical? I have played on servers in that mode, havent noticed a different from regular HC S&D though.

I think they call it tactical because it's just hardcore but they also add their own rules (like shoot with sights only, no grenades, etc.)Commie Killer wrote:

The SC series better be in that "etc."mtb0minime wrote:
