Do you not get any service whatsoever? Cell phone service should be separate from the Blackberry service. RIM has their own network, and cell providers have their own network. The services should be able to run exclusively. If your cell service is out, T-Mobile is responsible, and if your Blackberry service is out, RIM is responsible.

I am struck by a bewildering similarity between this post and some of the more retarted posts on 4chan

i shall brush it off

by the same token, the previous post sums it all up... There are many businessmen and such who use the blackberry to keep track of whatever and for communication, and once you integrate a convenience into your life it is a great inconvenience to be suddenly left without it

there is also the fact that the service agrees to provide hosting for the blackberry, and if it goes down, then they are fully reliable for any damages or inconveniences caused by the outage. They should give at least a free month for it to everyone...

Sorry, but I see more people using them for social bullshit than actual work. And if the WiFi still works, go find a WiFi spot and log into email and everything from the Internet (you know, that thing Al Gore invented?). There are no shortages of finding WiFi in the USA, much less most of Europe. Just find a McDonalds.
