My friend has had some issues trying to play Company of Heroes. It runs well on his computer, but about one in 3 times he tries to play, it causes his computer to crash. And this isn't a CTD... his computer TURNS OFF, for 3 seconds... and then restarts.

He's running a Macbook Pro with Boot Camp:
2 gigs of ram, Intel C2D 2.16ghz, ati Radeon x1600...
yeah... It didn't do it the first few times he tried, but then it did it like... 4 times consecutively, and then it does it about every third time now.

MUCHAS karmas for your help. This is annoying, and we have a LAN coming up... and this sort of crashing is just unacceptable.

Thanks in advance.

Does the standard Macs Suck post gain karma?

Is it patched?

Are his video drivers up to date?

If all else fails, try reinstalling it.

Sounds like a heat problem, power supply might not be high enought or if power supply is good, might be a heating issue.

this is kinda what we thought also... the MacBooks do get really freaking hot... um... it also seems to happen more often when he is host.

That does make more sense, since the computer is working harder while hosting a game.
