If I play on a where everyone has a 10 ping, and I have a 600 ping, will I effect the other player's connection/FPS/Hitreg in any way?

I say I won't, because never before has someone with a 400 ping effected me on an Aussie server.

Dont really care about the post... but... The correct usage of the word you are trying to use is... AFFECT not effect.

An effect is visual, like "special effects" and an affect is when you... "affect someones performance in the game".

Just helping you with that English lesson

If you lag around, yes, it will. It'll affect their ability to hit you, since you plop from one place to another.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

people that sit at their computers and post in a gaming tech forum trying to teach grammar and spelling to others are very very sad people in real life.

I seem to remember something in cod4 called anti-lag or something? that tried to reduce lag but just made it easier for high pingers and harder for people with a normal ping.

Did I remember that right? I can't find a link about it anywhere but I'm sure I read something along those lines.

Fix'd Smilies = life

On topic: Yes. I've played against high pingers in Battlefield 2, and they'd practically Saiyan teleport every move. And I'm not sure if it's my sucky aim, but they always seem to need more bullets to die.

Your ping is from you to the server, it really only affects you.  It doesn't mess with people shooting at you since they have a faster ping they actually have a better chance of hitting you since their pc updates quicker with regards to where you are . . .

genius

Also on topic.
I was playing yesterday and getting mad ping spikes, as in, my ping would be 10ms, then shoot up to around 600, then back down and repeat. It was impossible for me to play, but I seemed to get shot fine by others, actually I was prone so not really moving except for mad spins

Depends entirely upon the game. Different games use different engines, and different latency compensation algorithms.

BF2. I have a fast internet connection, and a good rig.

I never lag unless my ISP farts. I'll also be commanding.

Reason I'm asking is, the guy from BF2STAT said that if his team starts lagging he's going to ask the high pingers to disconnect, I just think a back up in case they start getting owned though.

You mean, don't, right? Because then that would be "I don't really care about the post..." because "Do not really care about the post..." isn't proper English.
