Tomorrow at 11 am PST all PC versions of Team Fortress 2 will receive its largest update since the product was first made available on October 10, 2007, as part of Valve's best-selling Orange Box compilation.
The release is headlined by the introduction of "Badlands," a new map that pushes control-point gameplay onto vertical landscapes.

So did they scrap unlocks and that Goldrush map? Hopefully the unlocks were ditched but not the map.

Sounds good to me. I'm sick of the sentry spam in stage2.

Really?  I think the first control point is very difficult to defend with a decent attacking team that knows how to use ubers and has at least a decent demoman.  Last night, there was chatter about just giving up the first point and making a good defense at the second point.

It means that if you crash you still get your stats. Like the time I got 34 kills with a sentry and then I crashed. At least I have a screen shot @ 31 kills =/

On 32 player server playing Dustbowl, it's a bitch. Like 7/16 people go Engineers, all build sentries either in the little house near the cap  or on top of the little house near the gates, and with 3 or more sentries on the little house, it's impossible to get past, even with uber.

The other 9 people all either become Demomen or Soldiers. It's horrid.

24 player servers are much different, though.

Nerfed? did somebody say nerfed? Half of my sniper kills are from quick shots like that, so I'd thank you very much for not noobifying my best weapon, Valve.

Add the fact its less laggy and more fun on 24 player server!!
