So I'm looking at selling this comp.--

P4 2.66Ghz Processor
Windows XP Home
512 DDR Ram
XFX Geforce 6200 (AGP)

350v. Power Supply
Monitor, Dual Speakers,everything else

How much should I charge for this? Maybe $300? Remember, this isn't for teh uBer-G@mer like us...it's for the stay-at-home mom or the 8-year old kid who wants to play WOW.

Its...old. Like Windows 3.1 old...

But it still runs great. 15'4, and supports 1600x1256 (or whatever) resolution.

i would go 350 asking because it will be bargined down...or i always bargin down computers when i buy them, so you end up getting about $250-$300 in the final round

Today i just ordered an E8400 (only 3 were still on stock in Slovenia!), i already have an 8800GT 512, CmStacker case (yes the minivan), WD raptor 150GB, Enermax Infiniti 720W, ordering this from Germany this weekend (getting my salary tommorow WOT): Asus P5E X38, Corsair Dominator 8500, a cooler for processor and gfx card (not sure which yet).

What do you think?

If it's undusted, cleaned up, freshly installed (With legal/Windows update-working Windows) and generally in prime condition, $300-$350. If it hasn't been cleaned out/reformatted in ages and has all your old porn and software on it, $200-$250.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
