Where did you get your tank / helo / crew service ribbons?

well, Im quite new to SF and the new maps so I have no clue, where I should settle myself to get one of those ribbons -

where's a good place to stay very long in a tank? which map / playersize did you choose for that

- I tried Warlord and so Ghost Town with about 35 players, but I failed

and where did you earn your helo ribbon? I only had crappy pilots rightnow, tried it on The Iron Gater and Ghost Town - I couldnt get on both the IAR reqs...

so that's all for now. I actually didnt try for crew service, shall I try it to be BH pilot or what?

never even saw a full BH that owns on a map as is does for example on Mashtuur, where else are BH's except Ghost Town?

I got my Helo ribbon playing SEAL side of Iron Gator. In the event I got shot down, just respawn at the Viewing Deck and hop over the rail... it puts you right next to the Longbow spawn. Spend your time around the carrier, don't try flying to their shoreline because you're likely to get obliterated by all their AA. This may sound boring, but there is more to do with the Apache than you might think...

You can obviously protect the two top-side spawn points fairly easily, and you'll likely be dueling with the MECSF HiND, but you can also fly down and fire missiles into the Hangar Bay if the MEC own that, and the boat dock at the end of the ship if the MEC own the Engine Room, or if they're trying to drive boats or jetskis in that way. Even better if you have a gunner. If you (or your gunner) are engineer, you can easily repair your commander assets too by simply hovering over them.

If you're really really brave, I've actually managed to fly the Longbow INSIDE the Hangar Bay and take that spawn point back, and then fly back out safely on several occasions. To be 100% honest though, I usually park near the entrance and hop out to take the flag while my gunner stays in his pod and covers me. I haven't actually taken the flag while hovering in there You can fly into the boat landing area too, but it doesn't serve much of a purpose other than showing off.

got my tank and crew service both at Ghost Town. Tank/Armor is easy as long as you have a large map with a high ticket count and not many people. This allows you to get in the 20+ minutes. That is the biggest hurdle i think is getting in the time needed in a single round. killing enough people is the easy part. Crew Service i got lucky and had a good pilot slaughtering everyone and eveything on the map. got my 10 kills not in the heli but on the ground and then late in the round got in a heli with the wonder pilot and let him get me my 20 kill assists. have no idea when or how i got my driver ability point that round. have not tried for my heli ribbon yet.

I got the BF2 tank ribbon on Kubra Dam, both helo ribbons on The Iron Gator in the same game (yes i was being a chopper whore) and the crew service ribbon on Dragon Valley me and another dude were sharing spots on the USMC attack chopper. If u play the bigger 64 player games it's easier to get awards becuase u have more time to do things.

tank whore as spetznaz on mass destruction 64player map with only about 40 players or less.
i just played it and got a few vet combat badges, armoured sevice ribbon, high score of 106 and kill streak of 23.
my best game ever..

I spread mine ribbons out between map, and obtained them in this order:

Crew service - Piloting Hind for Rebels on Mass Destruction (good helo gunner ).

Armor - Driving T-90 for Insurgants on Warlord.

Helicopter - Piloting Hind for SPETZ on Surge.

These ribbons can realistically be obtained on almost any SF map given the right conditions (map size, quality of players, total number of players).

well if u want ur crew ribbon go to karkand and get into a vodnik or humvee ( if your usmc its easier) be support and hve ur gunnaer medic and have the other two guys be like spec ops and have them throw nades so u get ammo and special driver ability points and for the kill, either run ppl over ( always fun to do ) or switch with gunner for a while to get some kills)

I don't have any SF ribbons,

but the Helo ribbon I got on Dalian Plant (full 64). I was first a gunner on the Z-10, then I got a couple of kills in the PLA transport Chopper, then I finished up my kills as a piolet in the Z-10.

I got my crewservice ribbon in Mashtuur city as BH piolet, got five kills after my helo was shot down.

I don't have the armor ribbon yet

I got my crew service ribbon by just being in an apc for most of the round, and sumhow got it. also got the combat action ribbon the same way. all on karkand. cuz thats all i play.

I haven't gotten it but the helo ribbon can be done while sitting in the weapons officer seat. If your pilot is good and generous, he'll set you up for big kills with the T.V. guided missiles. It's fun on Sharqi when you're on the U.S. side and your pilot brings you to the MEC attack helicopter pad while it's full and ready to take off and you send a T.V. missile right into the window and get two kills. I got kicked for it when I did it the 3rd time because it was a no-baseraping server.

I got my tank ribbon in Ghost Town, the SAS literally owned the Spetznas and I baseraped as all flags were ours... Got all that kills IAR... as engineer of course, so I could fix my vehicle dozens of times.

Got my heli ribbon last night,

Heli whored on Dalian plant with some pilot called BlammM, I got ~30 kills as the gunner.

Was so much fun to have a decent pilot on your side, I reckon between us we won the round, as our team (USMC) only had 1 flag when we got the chopper, but managed to cap them all whilst we destroyed all the enemy Tanks, APC's, and Heli's.

Sadly the next map was Karkand so that was the end of the heli-whoring for the night!

Got them all on Leviathon. this map takes ages if teh sides are balanced and should allow you to get teh time requyirements as long as you dont die much. 64 player server ideally with around 50 players on (although i got the ribbons with 64 players on server) generally rounds on that map last 20 mins or so.

Got both the tank and helo ribbons on Leviathan, 64 size. Helos always harder coz of the random locking on the AA, ure more likely 2 get shot down by ure own team! either way, levaithan worked 4 me!
