My brother went skydiving a while back and plans on doing another jump in the near future. It's likely that I'll join him on the jump and experience it myself. Has anyone ever been skydiving? If so - what's it like!? It looks fantastically scary to me!

My brother's friend went skydiving and said it felt better than sex (it might be a stretch, but meh) because of all the adrenaline rushing through your body.

I'm doing it when I'm 18.

I'm going to do it at some point in the next few months. Haven't really looked in to the actual details yet though...

EDIT: Ok, first site that actual mentions prices at all says 210 quid. Looks like I'll have to wait a little longer than a few months...

One of the funnest things you could do for under $200. I have done it once(tandem) and had a 50 sec. free-fall.

Dunno if it's comparable, but I was on a Jet simulator a while back that put me under 4g's for like 40 seconds, and my cheeks didn't hurt. Only my head. :S

well i have sort of parachutedISH, i was in Cyprus and went up on one of those parachute behind the boat thing, i was let loose on a 200ft cable, but the noob let me out way to fast and the cable snapped the locking tab at my end, I FRICKING SHAT MY SHORTS, and started to head out towards sea, seemed like i was floating away for miles, but in-fact was doing more of a circle, i landed in the sea about 10 feet away from the speed boat, after what seemed like an hour (IN-FACT ABOUT 3 to 5 MINS).. so no not skydiving but as close as iv ever got... must admit after the ordeal i did look back on it with a buzz...

When i went, i screwed it up so we ended up doing flips for the first few seconds... WAS AWESOME!

But there is no weightlessness feeling, for me anyway. Nor is there any stomach drop and the only scary bit is getting out onto the ledge on the side of the plane.

Weird feeling falling like that, quite hard to explain actually.
