Not repair points, or driver kill assist............. Driver Special Ability points ????

I'm trying to get Medal Of Valor, have to get 5000 Driver Special Ability points............

helicopter pilot, easy to get a few thousand driver points

I'd agree, Chopper pilot, or be a good SU-30/34 pilot.

trust me the medal of valor is overrated... since i have double the requirements for it, everytime i join a server i am awarded the medal.  it is kind of annoying hearing the drumroll at the start of every round.  ea doesnt bother fixing the glitch so i guess its permanent because i decided to get over 10,000 driver points. 

in case you are wondering, i primarily fly choppers.  it is definitely one of the funnest roles in the game, and yes, you get massive amounts of driver points.

I thought driver special ability points were those when your passenger as a medic or support or engineer helps someone else nearby to your vehicle. I thought as a pilot the kills your gunner gets go down as driver kill assists not special ability points.

The wording is confusing. You don't need 5000 Driver Special Ability points, but rather 5000 driver points.

Driver points are, Driver Special Ability points and Driver Kill assists.

Driver Special Ability points: First you MUST be the pilot/driver.
To get the point your gunner/passenger(s) needs to get a team point, there are 4 different ways to get this:

• A heal point, Either from a dropped med pack which someone runs over, or by him healing you and/or other people in or around the vehicle.
• A resupply point, Either from a dropped ammo pack which someone runs over, or by him resupplying you and/or other people in or around the vehicle.
• A repair Point, Either repairing the vehicle you are in, ie black hawk/transport etc. Or by repairing commander assets or other vehicles you drive/fly close to.
• Destroying a commander asset (UAV/Scan/Artillery).

Driver Kill Assists: You may either be the pilot or a passenger. There are 2 ways to get these points:

• As a pilot, if anyone of your gunners or passengers gets a kill, apart from 'road kills'.
• As a passenger/gunner if your pilot (not other passengers) gets a kill, which is not a 'road kill'.

You get a Kill Damage Assist, when you are a passenger/gunner of a vehicle and a different gunner gets a kill, which is not a 'road kill'

The quickest way to get Driver points as already said is to be a good chopper pilot.

I was about to rant the difference between the 2

Go to Songhua, be a medic, pilot a skycow/UH and get a support guy in so when yer pals are spammin' all they've got you get x-amount of points as the ammo points roll in.
