Why would a player sit in a humvee (or some other transport) at the edge of the map, doing nothing?

I was commander of the round, and one squad of one soldier was just sat at the edge of the map the whole time. He was definitely at his machine, because any attack order I'd give him would be refused within twenty seconds.

I even dropped artillery on his position to wake him up, and he moved as soon as the warning appeared on his map. But he just moved to another part of the map, still ignoring combat.

What benefit could he possibly gain from sitting in a vehicle, doing nothing the whole time?

Why on Earth would he want a badge that signified nothing but sitting at the edge of the map like a pussy? The match lasted over thirty minutes (I know because I was awarded the Veteran Commander Badge) and he died once, killed nothing, and scored no teamwork points. What a time waster.

Was this player called BradLikesWaffles? I have to admit, I've done this before, and i remember being in a one-man squad AND getting artilleried by the commander to make me move on. It was on Zatar Wetlands, on a small map. Anyway, it was when i was badge crazy

Just sit on passenger seat so you can use your wrench, it counts vechile as friendly while you are inside.

Dude when i tried to get my marksman infantry medal on wake i just took the chinese chopper, flew to the border of the map and had a nice breakfast while hovering over the ocean...

There's nothing "suspicious" at this behavior.

ive seen stat padding at the edge of the map with 2 people and a humvee. both are medics, they drive outside the death line and voila, team points galore.

I dropped shells on them and then told the admins.

I dont know what he hoped to accomplish by himself though

hes hacking ive seen this before TA FIRESTORM was in my squad once sitting at suburbs in karkand doing nothing BUT he was there sitting with a c4 attached to the sand bag wall of suburb sitting there , after he got 30 points i was with him whole time sittin there to though and what was truly wierd was, he wasn't commanding dont get this wrong way i think hes cool in all but its wierd what he did
