So its Monday night right now, and the end of the four day weekend. My group and I were supposed to do a history skit or movie that had to be 10 minutes long, about organized crime in the 1920's which is due this Wednesday. We didn't schedule anything the Thursday before the weekend besides learning that one of out group members was going to be gone the entire weekend, and I was going to be gone Sunday. I didn't get a call until Saturday night from one of my group members asking when we were going to start, and I said Monday would be good. So Monday comes and I don't get a call until around 3 saying we need to get to work. Its already late and I still have all my homework to do and I haven't even told my parents about the project, and if I told them now they would get very mad. So I say that its already to late and stuff and thats it. For the project we could either do a movie or a skit in class. But our group hasn't even done any research or started the script at all. This project is worth quite a bit of points but it is due less than 48 hours from now. Have any of you guys been in a situation like this? Any advice? Thx
get or ur pc and get to work

I'm also good at procrastination. What you should do right now is get the script ready, and film it tomorrow night.
ha.hahahahahahaha.
been there many many times before. once shot an entire movie the day before it was due, stayed up most of the night editing, burning and whatnot. work your ass off and stop procrastinating or you're screwed.

Yeah, I'm excellent at procrastinating
I almost always leave papers until the last minute. We had a history assignment assigned like 2 weeks ago, and I wrote it the night before it was due... 11PM to midnight, that's including a bunch of time minimizing Word and browsing bf2s.
Or a better example, we have to have our topic for our semester research paper by Wednesday and I haven't given it much thought
Strangely enough I'm doing decent in school. Enough to not get below a B- in my worst subjects at least.
Anyways, just read up on the organized crime stuff. Is it based off of historical facts? Just make a skit like you're some guys planning an epic heist. Don't say your lines too fast, and feel free to chew up time by not talking and instead using body language (e.g. one mafioso walks around for a few seconds before slamming his hands onto a desk in anger).
Believe me you're not the only one who does this. Shoot, I have an SAT in 11 days and I haven't studied much. I'd probably be a straight A student if I actually worked hard, or went to a shitty school.

I too have the SAT in 11 days. Karma to the higher score? Don't worry, I don't study either. Procrastination FTW!HurricaИe wrote:

I got a 190 (1910 when "converted" to SAT scoring) on the PSAT in October without ever doing a practice test. And I hadn't learned half of the Geometry stuff they asked you yet.Havok wrote:

and even shittier is the "unplug your modem" suggestion that some people give. Yeah, because as soon as it's unplugged it's impossible for me to plug it in, right
Before I read this. How many lame procrastination jokes were there?
studying for the SAT is like training for the special olympics: no matter how you look at it you've wasted your time.Havok wrote:

that's what i tell my mom, sort of. She's always complaining I'm not studying enough, even though most colleges care more about your transcript, essay, and who you are. The SAT's important, but those three factors seem more important... at least among not-snobby collegesEnder2309 wrote:

So should we make the movie tomorrow or just do a skit on Wednesday? I also have track tomorrow which doesn't end until 4:30.
5 page paper dealing with the similarities between the greek and maori story of creation....due wednesday....ive been drinking all day....got my first page done....the rest is cake....ya learn to procrastinate...you'll be fine....its a 10 minute video
Movie might be easier. You can do multiple takes, get it down right.RandomSchl wrote:

well, I'm probably going to stay up late tonight finishing the script for my group, and doing my other hw. I've been talking to one of my other group members about the script for awhile, but then he said he was going to write something and hasn't said anything for about 2 hours. Ill keep you updated BF2S to give me some motivation to work.
Alright, its 1130, and I'm taking a break from math to work on book questions and vocab for history.
1145, finished vocab now going to start book questions.
1225 and finished book questions. Group member hasn't responded yet. I hope he didn't fall asleep.

The National Merit Scholarship might cover it.
Anyways, I'm not taking the SAT until the May date. I feel so lazy.
Procrastination will be the death of me. I procrastinate with work, fun, eating, sleeping...

Now would be the time to realize you are limited to changing oil for 85 years because you failed to get some simple work done.RandomSchl wrote:

I don't really understand what you said. I'm just trying to stay motivated.nukchebi0 wrote:
