Discipline is important, especially in the Public Services & Armed Forces, so that when they are given a task, they complete it themselves and don't get others to do it for them.

if a soldier could wake up on the dot at 0430 every day, perform personal hygiene and maintain a clean living area at the same time having a sharp uniform and good haircut, that means he is more likely to stop shooting when told. to put his body through conditions that are unpleasant in oder to get the mission accomplished. to perform military duties without issue knowing that his superiors trust him enough to get the job done without being guided or watched.
