My grandparents stopped by to say hi and to bring me thier broken laptop (Inspiron E1705) .
The issue is when you power it on, the power light stays on for about 4 seconds, the battery light flashes briefly then the whole laptop cuts off (with no drive or fan spin up noise).
Same occurs with the batter removed (less the battery light flashing).
Any pro tips before I tell them to just send it back to Dell?
