Hi! I was wondering if anyone here plays CoD4 on PS3 ?

I'm buying it soon. I hope its fun. And Yes, It's free to play online. You don't have to pay to play online like on some lesser consoles.

I have both (I aquired the PS3 version xD). And, it's essentially the same as the PC, though, not quite as fun. Think the biggest servers are 18man. If you manage to connect to a dam server. First person shooters are horrific on consoles tho imo because of the control pad, you cant enjoy it as much, so I recommend a blu tooth mouse and keyboard if u are serious about playing it online.Saizmeerack wrote:

I got my copy for basically nothing, and, at that, I am happy with it. Pointless though to buy if you already have the PC version, its exactly the same single player, with a heavily cut down multi. (bar the barracks thingy which isnt too much to shout about, I'd rather have 50 man servers tbh).

I have it on the PS3 and I must say it is very fun. I do not see the need for the keyboard and mouse, I think it would make it worse. The server are fine as it is, there is no need for 50 man servers, 18 is plenty. True the controller is hard at first but after some time you get used to it. If anyone wants to play online add me. It just turns into airstrike/nade/helicopter with too many players.
I've played it on a console, for some reason it felt alot better than normal console FPS games. Felt more natural. I'd go as far as saying it ends up better on the console, but I already have it on PC so I'm not getting it again.
And the mods aren't even implemented well, it was better in CoD/UO/CoD 2 - Where HTTP re-direct actually made a difference.

Yeah I go it. It's awsm, once you get used to the controller instead of a KB&M, then it's fine. The controller really isn't as hard to use as people say. Add me: mint-sauce-41

Yes, you get bogged down by spawnkilling, quite a lot, but, if you keep moving with a group of guys who can hold there own, its fantastic on a 50 man. truth is m8, i would have bought a ps3 if they had a better lineup of games. the only game that would make me buy a ps3 is NG sigma. and yes i had a friend with the red ring of death of the x360. my xbox 360 works fine for the record.
I'd stick with PC for FPS
If you hook your ps3 up with keyboard and mouse to play a game thats alraedy on the pc, then it kind of defeats the point of having a console

i have it for the ps3...its pretty good but i prefer PC for fps

I only play on 32 Man Servers, 50 is a little too big for me and 18 is really boring, whats the point of airstrikes if you can only kill one personI'd rather have 50 man servers tbh

If you're good at console FPS's, it handles as well, if not better than the best of them.
