8800GT and BF2

I just bought an Evga 8800GT 512MB and will be upgrading from an Evga 8500GT 512MB.

With these specs, will I be able to run BF2 with everything on high and AA on 8X and What resolution will be optimal?

Also, I read in one of the reviews on Newegg that I should use Ntune to adjust the fan speed on the 8800GT to reduce
the amount of heat it creates or should I just install and play right out of the box?

I run with AA at 4X with the 8500GT but my FPS are at 45-60

8X AA totally possible with BF2. Not a demanding game.
As for nTune, don't use it it's a piece of crap. Use RivaTuner to change the fan speed. Its a matter of opinion whether you change it or not. Cards like these can handle high temperatures, but I myself prefer loudness to hotness, and so my fan always runs @ 100% (8800GTX). Your choice.

all high full aa ....bf2 isnt tht demanding for newer system specs

I have an 8600GTS and I run everything at maximum settings with 1440X900. I'm sure an 8800GT can handle it.

nhhhh lol....maybe a skulltrail board...with a qx9770 and 3 9800gtx in 3 way sli....with 8gb of dominator ram just about might do it ...

i run AMD Athlon X2 6400+ 3.2GHz with 8800gt 512 and have everything on max including aa maxed and im getting 102fps on bf2. played crysis demo on med with aax2 and got 100 to 90 fps. then went and maxed it and it dropped to 50 fps.

e6750 @ 3.2ghz with an 8800gt at ssc speeds can play crysis 1280x1024 all high, no aa at about 20-40 fps.

an e6750 @ 3.0ghz
8800gt 512mb
wit 4gb of ocz gaming ram ...an i get about 30fps if i can remeber correctly.....

exactli....its not flawless.....100fps...is just not possible.....my mate runs dual overclocked watercooled 8800 ultras ...and he touches bout 60fps at 1650 x 1080

graphically its stunnin if you have a rig tht will play it near high defintely worth it ....singleplayer is good ...multi - naff

you would probs get all high wit no aa at 1650 x 1080 with bout 10-20fps....

Oh yes... YOU just got OWNED! there is no pc that can run crysis 50 FPS at very high with AA+AF! Your AMD CPU is definately not capable of doing that. even 3-way SLi 8800GTX gets pwned at very high settings + AA/AF.

EDIT: I run Crysis at all high 1280x1024 w/ no AA+AF about 36 fps average.
