Well, I had my wisdom teeth extracted. And complications have risen...

I have dry socket. Sounds stupid, but, read:

Simply put, I have a nice hole in my mouth, that is exposing nerves and bone.

And it hurts like a bitch, let me tell you. One of the most painful things I've felt in my life. Nothing I can really do about it myself.

So.
How many of you have had Dry Socket?

It sucks.

Do the following:
--Keep lots of gauze over the extraction area for at least 24 hours. It's annoying as all hell, but for your own sake, just do it.
--Rinse regularly (and gently) with salt water. It sucks and burns, but just do it.
--Don't eat anything hot. Hot foods are delicious, don't eat anything hot. Only cold or cool
--NO JELLO. Unless you have sugar-free jello or something. The sugar WILL burn. Pudding or apple sauce is your best bet.
--Don't eat anything that requires chewing for a few days.

Really, just do the following, you'll be fine.
Trust me, just do it.

I don't think they can just "fill" a hole in your gums, thats something your body has to do on its own.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled in boot camp. The heavy DI would always make me yell even though I wasn't supposed to, I ended up loosing a blood clot from one and getting dry socket. They gave me Tylenol(250mg) and Motrin(800mg). It sucked ass.
