Hot Rod legend Boyd Coddington...the practically legendary custom Hot Rod builder has passed away. The mans accolades speak for themselves. All automotive enthusiasts have lost a icon that we may not see for a generation.

Some of his cars are just stunning. Others...not so much. Nevertheless, if you are a "car" fan, you'll feel this loss. A legend in the industry he was, and shall remain for some time to come.

Some of you may know him by his show on the History channel (learning channel...one of those Discovery owned channels hehe) or otherwise. I understand he was a real asshole to work for, but his visions seemed worth it in the end.

Rest In Peace Mr. Coddington. I know he'll be building us a great car in the afterlife...

Yeah, thats for sure. But in his defense I gotta point out the he was under a wicked deadline almost all the time, and he was a perfectionist...thus his reputation. I'm not justifying his actions/comments, because yeah, he was for sure an asshole.

Penalties for being late tend to do that for people, and when the penalty was a percentage of the build cost (his cars were worth in excess od 30k)
I can understand getting a bit nervous...but he was an asshole.

My post was for the "car crazy" crowd, like him or not, he will be missed in those circles.

A lot of the deadlines were his own fault. Remember when he made his crew build two cars in like 6 or 8 weeks or something? He was a major cocksucker then. That old guy Roy that died was funny as shit. When they partnered him up with the black guy, I can't remember his name, that was some funny shit.

Funkula, nice deftones reference. I was going to do the exact same thing but I'd always forget when I was on the boards.

Yeah this is true. Still, his creativity and vision will be missed.
