Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Added "Custom" tab to the server browser
Servers can now specify metatags describing the custom rules they've adopted
Players can use tag filtering to find servers running the custom rules they want to play
Added options for servers who want to become custom games: Disable critical hits (tf_weapon_criticals), eliminate respawn times (mp_disable_respawn_times), and raise maxplayers above 24


Initial release of Tournament mode (mp_tournament)
UI for handling team naming, ready mode, and win results
Disables team player limits, autobalancing, and intermission


Class balancing
Reduced Soldier's maximum rocket reserve ammo from 36 to 16
Reduced Demoman's maximum sticky bomb reserve ammo from 30 to 16
Reduced Demoman's maximum grenade launcher reserve ammo from 40 to 24



General
Added protection against voice command spamming. Dramatic reduction in teleporters needed
Fixed mp_timelimit ending the map during the middle of a round on maps like Dustbowl and GravelPit
Fixed "lastdisguise" command not remembering if you were disguised as your own team
Added "Toggle Disguise Team" binding in Options->Keyboard to toggle the disguise team for the Spy's PDA
Changed PDA menus to accept keys bound to "slot1", "slot2", etc., and "slot10" cancels
Fixed Spectator targetID not using team colors
Changed team autobalance code to not balance the teams when the active round timer shows less than 60 seconds
Fixed "-maxplayers" on the command line not correctly setting the maxplayers value for the server
Fixed Badlands never having Sudden Death triggered
Fixed Engineer being able to detonate buildings that are being sapped
Changed Engineer buildings to detonate when a player disconnects instead of blinking out
Fixed potential client crash for players being healed by a Medic or dispenser
Made several improvements to server-side stat reporting (not related to individual player stats)

O, that kind of voice spam. I thought they meant voice chat, lol that's stupid. Just mute a player if they are spamming the mic. Then I realized it was voice menu commands and I was like . Oh well, I guess it was extremely annoying and so I'm kinda glad it's gone.

Fuck! I was just getting good as soldier and demo now that they nerfed the spy! Fuck couldn't they have just reduced soldier crit splash damage instead? Thats the only thing that people complain about! Not the amount of ammo! And wtf demoman was perfect before! For having no close range combat ability(Other then his bottle) He got so many Indirect explosive weapons which were hard to kill with! Fucken shit Valve! Thank you for ruining the last 2 things that made tf2 great for me!

just played just then, was playing as scout, then after reading people bitching about how nerfed and underpowered the soldier is, i decided to go soldier to show them that its still easy, 150kills 30deaths later i decided to leave

the amount of rockets is fine, just dont spam like a complete idiot, i rarely ran out of ammo, and when i did i took a few people down with my shotgun and took their guns and reloaded

i would have prefered them reducing the rocket and crit rocket damage, but this should stop people from spamming explosives nonstop so... meh im happy

They sound like good changes to me. Except Demoman ammo. But then again, the only times i ever ran out before was when i was spamming it all over the place while defending on Dustbowl. I suppose it's for the best.

That made me lol. Shows they have a sense of humour. Would've been better if they'd said "Dramatic reduction in dispensers needed" instead, but never mind.

Does that mean I won't be able to call my entire team a spy before the round starts now?

I see no problem with the changes at all, I rarely play demoman, but when I do it is incredibly easy to find ammo.

I do play soldier and have no problems at all, ammo is not a "nerf" seriously, please don't make it like the BF2 v1.3 patch again.

Maybe now soldiers won't sit in one place spamming rockets for crits and actually think about their shots. Same goes with demoman's sticky bombs.

exactly, and they still have plenty of rockets for an attack or a defence, they just cant spam rockets everywhere all the time

the fact they originally had 40 rockets is terrible

their rockets are still OP and their crits are still fucking awesome, but atleast there are less of them now

Wow, I just went and tested Demo...it sucks. I hate only having 16 nades.

I just tested it myself and I love it. I was down to two in the chamber at one point (pipes) and I had to go and find ammo from a corpse. I hope this improves dustbowl so there's no more mindless demoman spam around corners.

They should've made it an option. What about non-valve made maps? Like surf maps? It ruins it.

Huh? In surf maps you're not meant to be shooting at all. If you mean jump maps, there's still plenty of ammo boxes in those. If you're using twenty rockets to jump up and haven't killed yourself/come across an ammo box, you're doing something wrong anyway.

It is a very effective tactic if you have a dedicated medic. With the reduction in Ammo it's no longer effective as you will run out of ammo to quickly and have to risk going for a resupply more often.

I didn't know they made surf maps that required rocket/sticky jumping. I thought they were all just ported from Counter-Strike Source.
