There have been a few posts in the past asking how to win a fight etc. Its worth noting that people can often die in fist fights. It seems to be happening every now and then in Oz.

Parents plead for witness to son's death

Young guy dies at party

Man dies in taxi rank from punch

Of course I am not saying dont defend yourself if you get in a fight, but every now and then a guy gets punched, gets knocked out, hits the concrete and dies.

The upshot is: He dies, your life is probably fucked too.

All I am saying is think carefully before you voluntarily enter a fight.

Sure thing, as I said, by all means defend yourself. Dont just sit there and get beaten up. But think carefully before you get into a fight, thats what I am getting at.

Its possible to kill someone with a punch, its also possible to knock someone out, they fall over and hit their head on eg a kerb and die.
Or they just collapse and swallow their tongue.
However you look at it you'll go down for manslaughter.

Another sobering thought, punch someone in the teeth and you can easily sever the tendons in your fingers - plus you get a good dose of their saliva in your bloodstream.

Learning a bit of judo and being able to run is a good bet. As a coward I recommend either.

I don't know. You never usually punch someone with the intention of killing them. You usually just want to hurt them or knock them out.

If you kill someone with a punch while defending yourself it's their own fault.

You are right, no one usually goes into a fist fight thinking they might kill some one, the fact is, it happens anyway. The important thing to know is that it could screw your life up.
You dont really have much control of the situation if you are defending, ( and if you are attacked you should defend yourself), but bear in mind that if you flatten some one and they die, then it will go to court. If you cant prove that you were defending ( and lets face it, scumbag lawyers will twist your words and make your case look bad) then you will go to jail. Hope you like buttsecks.
