Just wondering. I mean, I can't vote for myself, but honestly I'd probably vote for Hillary (). Sorry, Iraq for 100 years doesn't exactly sound very good to me.

Edit:

McCain's kinda growing on me...I'll wait to see what he has to say in the coming months, though.

I probably wouldn't vote.

Or I'd vote Independent.

I'd vote for Nader.  Besides, I already know my state will be voting for McCain regardless of who I vote for.

The left had fun with that.. even if it was taken completely out of context.

As McCain has explained numerous times now, the “100 years” comment isn’t a call for another century of hot war; it’s a projection of a token presence in a stable country along the lines of our “occupation” of Okinawa, one that certainly wouldn’t require the trillions of dollars being disingenuously tossed around here.
McCain Further Distances from '100 Year' Remark, Says 'War Will Be Over Soon'
"My friends, the war will be over soon..." McCain told the crowd. "The insurgency will go on for years and years and years. But it will be handled by the Iraqis, not by us."

"And then we decide what kind of security arrangement we want to have with the Iraqis."

This, McCain has indicated, was what he was referring to in January when he said that troops could be in Iraq for 100 years.

"I was talking about after the war is over," McCain said last week in Aurora, Illinois.

This. Chances are Hillary would get the nomination from superdelegates, which I am firmly against.

That and she's just a bitch. Who the fuck wants to see that bitchy smile on a Presidential coin? Who wants to hear that grating voice at every State of the Union? Obama may not have "the experience" but he'd be MUCH better at rallying together the American people. He has charisma. He reaches out to people of all ages, races, income. Hillary's just... a bitchy evil person who pushes her morals everywhere.

A guy came to speak at my school today, he's a rather prolific lawyer. Helped Clinton during his impeachment (one of the few non-Congressmen to testify in such a case), did lots of negotiations with Castro during the Elian Gonzalez case, etc. He believes that, if he was the President of Iran then he'd want McCain or Hillary to win. Why? They seem to be very polarizing; other nations wouldn't be so keen on working with the US to put pressure on Iran to stop their nuke program. Whereas Obama is a people person... he could very well garner support from allies to strongly oppose Iran.

McCain may have medal from real war but nobody can top the badassery of Teddy Roosevelt. We learned all about him today in History, he's 2nd to Lincoln only because Lincoln liberated an entire race and reunited the US (not to mention he's risen from the dead)

Not to mention that he was offered to go home early, but refused because it would be used as a PR weapon.

The man has principles.

Plus Teddy didn't kill harmless animals (or throw them off cliffs).

Teddy might not be as popular as Lincoln, but he also wasn't a tyrant like Lincoln.  Lincoln is nowhere near as virtuous as mainstream society tries to portray him.

wat, is that sarcasm? Cause Teddy was a well-known safari man. I don't necessarily agree with that but you do know how the teddy bear got named after him right?

He was hunting in Mississippi for bears (Wtf)? The park owners wanted to make sure he was pleased so they found a bear, tied it to a stake, and told TR to take a shot. TR declined, saying that killing it like that would be simply cruel, dishonorable, and inhumane.

@Turquoise: Yes I know he broke his Constitutional limits various times (such as when he arrested some Confederate sympathizers even though they hadn't done anything) but I think the ends justified the means. Certainly more tame than some of the Southern prison camps. And ja, another thread tbh.
