Is it considered third world or second world?
3rd in most parts
Blue is first world, Red is second world, Green is third world.

I think first world was NATO aligned, second world was Soviet aligned, and third world was anyone unaligned.nukchebi0 wrote:

That would make sense, though.
1st world is NATO and its allies
2nd world is The former Soviet Union, Warsaw Pact, and allies
3rd world is everyone else.
Since Mexico doesn't belong to either NATO or the Warsaw Pact, it is technically a third world country.

its no longer relevant in 2008. There have been several more accepted models that we now use to classify nations. 3rd world was never meant to describe economic conditions, but thats just what it does.
Some may consider Mexico a 3rd world, but they have one of the fastest growing economies in the world. pretty strong one too.
