I remember mine, i nearly got a tear in y eye when i shocked the guy i knifed and when he jumped off the Mosque wall in Warlord, i got him just as he passed below.

Kit badges, especially sniper and engineer. And not claywhoring to get sniper.

My top 5:

1. EU Special Service Medal
Only cool people have it. Great rounds on great maps awarded with, IMO, the best looking medal. Also it was my first army medal.

2. Good Conduct Medal
I got that one when I reached my BR of 202 on Warlord I/O. It was the best fighting I ever experienced in BF2. I was a medic squad leader and placed myself on the small building opposite of the mosque to cover the flag, which was quickly overtaken though. Every enemy then seemed to spawn there to move towards the palace and me and my squad were like clay pigeon shooting. I got lots of heal & revive points until my squad was decimated. I ordered a supply crate and continued to fight alone like in a cheap action movie for about 15min. They tried to climb the building and died like flies. Assault guys with their grenade launcher hurt me, but the crate and my health packs did the trick. It took them 15min until someone realized, spawned as Anti-Tank and blew me up with the noob-tube.

3. Purple Heart
My first medal ever. I was very excited. Until I found out later that it actually only is a consolation prize for the noobs.

4. Expert Ground Defense Badge
My only gold badge to this day.

5. NA Service Ribbon
A rather rare award. The first one that I actually strived for.

So far, Veteran Sniper is my favorite.

Just me, my L96A1, and a Gulf of Oman server with 54 people in it.

So, you were sniping your teammates too? Technically, you only have 27 heads to snipe, and some are probably in jets/helis and tanks/APCs, unless it was IO. I get too technical at times.

took me so long to finally get.

Expert  transport. I was just plain fun running people over. I'd say most of those kills were running over snipers and people standing around waiting for jets and helis.

The Pistol, Explosives, and Knife badges were the most exciting for me.

Basic Medic.

Meritorious Service Medal. But if I'd got the expert knife badge before it was nerfed it would be that instead.
