I can run distance easy, I hate it though. More of a biker, used to mountain bike compeatively, gave that up after being forced to buy a $1200 bike just to stay even with the other guys riding the $2500 carbon or titanium frame ones. Now its just riding around for fun, found a park near my house, hilly place where a large stream ( and a bunch of small ones) wind through, usually riding on the deer trails.

So far, blogs and right wing sites seem to be the only ones reporting on this.  I'll continue looking for more substantial sources.
...ad this suprises you.... how?  You really think the mainstream media want to bring a lot of light to this?
Or are we still pretending that CNN, MSNBC, and the broadcast media news agecies are 'neutral,' and that FOXnews is a part of the evil 'vast right-wing conspiracy?'

I can not believe you actually took it that far.  I am not saying there is a vast underground agenda by the media.  I am saying that since the days of Watergate, liberal-minded people have been more likely to enter into journalism.  It has gotten to the point where the liberal mindset (and registered Democrats) dominate the media.  And, when given a choice of news stories, they tend to go with ones... that they can feel good about.  After all, only so many minutes in the reporting day.

Also, I do not think that ANY news organization that sells advertising can be considered neutral.  They are just trying to bring in income through advertising, just like any entertainment channel.  They do this through sensationalism.  Which means they want programing they think the public will tune in and watch.  But their opinions can be slightly skewed if there is not a balanced set of views directing the process; I, personally, think that that balanced is seriously skewed in the liberal direction.

See?  No evil plan, just people doing things people do.  I tend to concentrate on the negative things about views I am against and positive things on views I am for.  I do not think I am alone in this, though I think a lot of people do not admit it.  I think that is what the news agencies try to do.

Ok..  that I can agree with for the most part.  I don't consider media outlets neutral either, but I see them as corporately biased, not biased toward any one ideology, with the exception of things like Fox News and the New York Times.  There are certain outlets that are indisputably liberal or conservative, but most media is just corporate.

Easy tiger.

The judge has the duty to look after the best interest of the foster kid, and that's exactly what she has been doing. It's her opinion it's not in the best interest of this particular kid to enlist at 17.5 yo.

I can imagine that a judge and a former marine will say - based on his opinion - that joining the marines is in the best interest of the kid, but both times they are entitled to their opinion. And the law apparently gives them the possibility to take their own opinion into account.

Wow, isn't the judge not supposed be bias? I don't agree with the war but if the kid does, let him do what he wants.
