So I just installed ultramon so that I can extend my task bar from one monitor to another, but one annoying thing I've noticed, my notification bar (the area where the clock and such is) is still on the first monitor, and when i take a screen cap it is in the middle of the screen...

so I was wondering, is there anyway that I can move the notification bar to the second monitor? it would be alot more convenient.

not quite what i mean, but thank you.

I mean keeping everything BUT the notification bar on the left monitor, and moving just that toolbar to the right one.

Actually I was just joking when I said that.

Sorry that I can't really help you tho.

Nvidia cards have the option to extend your taskbar across both screens, could try that.

I looked through my nvidia control panel and saw nothing about extendin the desktop.

So if you could direct me, it'd be appreciated.

Do you have Nvidia's 'Nview' program installed? (should come installed with drivers). Plug in your second monitor and go to the nvidia control panel. How well did you look through it the first time?

Also, switch the Nvidia control panel to the 'classic' or 'old' style view, there should be an option somewhere to do that, things are much easier to find that way.

EDIT: im having a hard time finding out how to do what i just told you cause its been months since ive run dual monitors, just know im trying to figure it out. hold.

Ok here try this.

Plug in your second monitor and turn off that other program you were using.

Go to start - Control panel.

If you haven't already before, click on the 'Switch to classic view' on the windows toolbar thing on the left.

Now double click on the 'NVIDIA Nview Desktop Manager'

Fool around in there and see if you can do what you need.

Why not just "extend desktop" ? Or is this 'feature' only available on ATI Catalsyt Control Center? lol.
