That's not completely true.  Read my post.  Everything has high fructose corn syrup in it.  You can't escape it, even when you try to eat healthy.
Well, I can avoid it pretty easily, but I do have to give up on a lot of foods I liked. Basically, the foods I eat now, if they require a sweetener, it'll be sugar cane. And, if you buy strictly organic foods, you will NEVER see corn syrup in it or food colorings, or artificial sweeteners or products.

And to {M5}Sniper3, I haven't made the claim this is all the governments job. But, it would help if they can do something now wouldn't it?
Such stores are not necessarily that easy to access.  Their foods items are limited, and the cost is substantially higher.  Maybe you have a slew of such mega health food stores in your area, but most us do not.

No offence, but what an arsehole.
We have here one of those uneducated people I was worried about. Luckily, he doesn't live here.
As you said its a whole other story.
If you or your brother don't wont to eat GE foods, that's your personal choice. But to fight against GE foods which would remove my choice in what I eat, especially when you can prove nothing makes you and your brother arseholes.

little government is good government. Personal affairs should stay personal. none of this regulated crap. if we are the government, we didnt have to make an entity to help us, that seems just silly. We should just help ourselves with some plain hard work.

I don't know.

I'm spending my time on the internet talking about it.  I know that with my pack of Mentos and Six pack of Jolt cola I'm solving the common problems which are keeping the common man down.

What are YOU doing?  ooo...nvm
And pug what the fuck does this mean? You want to know what I do? I sell a medical product out of japan that ionize's water and makes it alkaline for people to drink. THIS IN TURN, reducing the ACID in our bodies by flushing it with alkaline water. THUS helps the body heal disease or ailments, cancer and arthritis, acid reflux, just about ANYTHING associated with acidic problems. AND it helps the cells of the body SHED fat. The cells build a layer of fat to protect themselves against a more acid environment. When the body becomes more alkaline and neutral, the cells SHED that fat. THUS people lose weight.

And, do you want to know what my brother does? He is fighting the GE (Genetically engineered) food corporations like Monsanto, which, is a whole story in itself.

So, what do YOU do again? And, if you WEREN'T suggesting that I do nothing to help (Which I assumed) then I'm sorry for sounding like an ass.
Well, I guess I should have just said perhaps you shouldn't be so negative.  Short, sweet, but less entertaining.  Is it really as bad as you think?

True, I don't have a job which will make others healthier or smart, but I do help people plan their future so they don't work until they die, to provide education for their kids, and to make wise choices on where to donate their money.  I also am involved at several levels of six non-profits in my community as a member of the board or as a chair: covering environmental issues, mental health, a foundation which funds three schools, bringing new businesses to town, teenage pregnancies, and a battered women's shelter.  I also provide free accounting services to about seven other non-profits, including free tax services to every priest in town.

I guess I'm a bit worn out by the fact everything is a problem nowadays.

Because I don't want to take the time to do the research for you, and scan pages out of a book with documented tests on negative effects on humans and animals, does not mean I CANT prove anything, it means I don't want to take the time out to prove it, sorry.

Trying reading those books maybe? I gave you the links, but in the end remember, you are only as educated as you want yourself to be, I on the other hand, will not lower myself to name calling

This illustrates why "non-socialists" are deluded in there thinking that anyone can make it rich just by working harder. Can you seriously say that the top 1% of people work 1520 times harder then the bottom 40% of people, Or that Bill Gates works ~ 32000+ times as hard as the average American.

The simple truth is, money makes money, a salary or income is inconsequential to people who already have money and can invest. Someone with a million dollars can invest in government Bonds and get a salary (by doing nothing) almost twice that of the average American working a 40 hour week. The system in place helps keep the rich wealthy and the poor struggling no matter how hard they work. Busting your guts and working 2 full time jobs a week will never be enough to pull you out of the middle class. And for those who can't afford and education or have to work 2 jobs to support a family so have no time to get one or too sick to do anything, are going to be forever stuck in relative poverty.
Nobody said you will make it rich simply by working harder. But you can get rich by working harder, even if you start with nothing. But that's in this society. In a socialist society, you simply can't. So no incentive to do more than the bare minimum. In fact, disproportionate taxation stifles those traits needed to succeed in business.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with putting your money to work and making more money in the process. Investment means incurring risk, which should be compensated in some way. Money that is invested (even in low-yield bonds) funds much of the infrastructure of life. It's not like it's sitting there spawning evil...it's put to work making life better for everyone or expanding businesses that the market supports.
