Look at the hardware sales for this week, its only the EU but dam the PS3 even beat the Wii, with the 360 at the bottom ( ).
So keep watching this week to see what the NA and japanese sales are.

Ive been watching the sales for months now and ever since the blue ray won, PS3 has just been raking in those sales...

Well FACE it people. you will have to convert to blu ray at some point. And a ps3 in the UK is £100 more than the cheapest blu-ray player.
But on average blu ray players are just more expensive. Why pay more when you can pay less and play 1337 games such as MGS4 (my pants get all went whenever I say it ).

i want a PS3 but its horribly over-priced
the 360 is good but wireless is a rip off

everthing has pros and cons

i (maybe) getting a 360 Elite for my bithday
but im keeping my good old PS2

so i make this assessment

PS3/360 > PS2 > all > Wii

Well one day DVD players and films will have the smallest section in a shop and it will all be blu-ray. May be a while but it WILL happen.
Then are you still saying you will not buy a blu-ray player? And when this does happen I can assure you Blu-ray will fall in price a lot...and hence the PS3 will most likely follow suit. Will you still buy a blu-ray player when you can pay little bit more for a blu-ray player+console?

Slightly off-topic: holy shit the PSP outsold the Wii!? Maybe Nintendo should get on the ball and start delivering more product, they're missing out.

I'm a playstation man, I loved the original PS, my PS2 is still running strong and I play it all the time. But I'm gonna wait a year or more to get a PS3. So expensive for one, and there's only two games I'm interested in atm; MGS4 and GTA IV

The MGS4 bundled PS3 should boast sales considerably, at least Kojima, the maker of MGS4, thinks so.

Hell, if I didn't already have one, I'd get that bundle. I think, that as time goes on, we can expect to see the PS3 sales behaving like the PS2 sales, from increased features with the PS3, as well as the constantly dropping price. I wouldn't be that surprised if overall PS3 sales match those of the PS2 in some years down the line.

what I hate with that, is that we have no fucking choice. VHS died because some people decided to. Well DVD's are good I must admit and pretty much more versatile than VHS (whos fault anyway? lol...), but hell blu-ray can go fuck itself and so any console.
Yeah we'll probably have to convert to blu-ray and that's what is the most horrible in this. Blu-ray sucks (for many reasons). We all know they want us to buy their shitty consoles, but never I will.
