So, I repair computers and yesterday we had this computer at work that was going slow, virusses etc... and every now and then a comment about low disk space.
So I checked and indeed, the HD was almost full (40gb hd). So I decided to help the ignorant fellow and delete his temp folder.
There were 75.000+ files in there which consumed more than 9 gigabyte of disk space... It took the damn machine 30 minutes to clean it up.
So, for all you ignorant people:
c:\document and settings\username\local settings\temp -> delete them all
(local settings is a hidden folder btw).
NoPixButItDidHappen.
And... how big is yours?
edit: You can always type: "%temp%" without the quotes in the run command and you should get there right away in both xp and vista
in vista it is: C:\Users\(Your Username)\AppData\Local\Temp I think, but not 100% sure, just use the %temp%
