Hmmm,.. I'm pretty sure they didn't have any of those in WWII inf fact I don't think what appears like a "ZOMG Tactical Air Fuel with extra gasses" bomb was ever available to anyone in Birma. I also doubt any such bomb would go of if a claymore goes of on top of it since the blast and the shrapnel are projected forwards. On top of that claymores are meant as anti-personel so they might not even penetrate a thick bomb shell.max wrote:

I asked myself the same question when I first saw that scene.
If you guys watched earlier on in the movie, you can see John planting the claymore beside an unexploded bomb. Their pointman is leading them into the woods and tells them that there is an unexploded bomb near them.
