The Life in the UK Test is an essential step for anyone wanting to settle in the UK, or apply for British citizenship.

The objective of the test is to ensure that applicants have a good knowledge of the United Kingdom and the English language. The questions in the test are in multiple choice format and cover a number of topics from local customs and traditions, to the laws and political systems that govern the country.
Ok, so aparrantly, If you moved to the UK, and you want to be a real British, you got to do the test.

What have most of those got to do with being British?

I don't know half of them and I'd like to have thought I was pretty smart.

If they have to impliment something like this make it more to do with the traditions of Britain, not with random questions about Party Whips! (By the way, that was one of the questions I did know).

I could criticize but I hear the American is pretty easy.  Just seems too hung up on current statistics than actual civic knowledge.  a lot of those numbers could change in a short amount of time.

Yea, I don't think anyone should bother with answering as it would take ages.

Well, I have a book, that has around 400 questions(and you get any 24 random questions), I am only remembering the answers without actually knowing what the question is about. It might sound stupid, but, if  I pass, then who cares?

Oh dear, I'm British and i can't answer half of them. How can someone from another country answer all of them? It is all quite puzzling. I think that it is quite a false system, but instead should allow those in who are qualified for a certain job.
