thats so FUCKING ANNOYING!
*Insert witty anti-apple comment here*
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Thats not when I want this for. When im laying down, it gets annoying.
I have toyed with the idea of getting a Touch ... but I would need the 32GB model and $400 is way too steep. That's almost half the computer build I want ...
They really don't at all. You're just a hater.Freezer7Pro wrote:

For this reason... Drains the battery like nobody's business, but it still kicks ass!
lrn2techspecs. Just look at the Q5W posted earlier and compare it to the Touch. Then compare the price.phishman420 wrote:

Apple are playing it very dirty. The low-grade hardware they put in their overpriced devices is just awfully bad.FatherTed wrote:

They've managed to create an incredible brand idea - kudos, that's fucking hard, and they're making tons of money of it.
GG Apple.

Ipods kick fucking ass because of their popularity.
This means I can buy a stereo that will control my ipod like it was part of my cars cd player, i can buy an FM adapter to use it as a radio, I can buy video out cables for it... ect.
No other MP3 player has the range of options that the ipod does (even though you do have to pay too much for it).
Not even zune can be integrated into cars stereo (line in doesn't fucking count...)
BUT if your not using those features its a pretty dumb choice. Especially touch, I need to listen to fucking music touch screen just makes that more expensive to do.

Or you could just fork out £60 on a car stereo that plays mp3s, like mine! iPod's are overrated, they aren't terrible but, they certainly aren't as good as they're made out to be, there's a hell of a lot better available (like that Cowon up thar ^).VicktorVauhn wrote:

Vicktor: Popularity doesn't justify anything. When you say that it's not worth it to buy it if you're not using those features, it's not the iPods you're talking about, it's the shitty pocket speakers and anything that has a little I in front of it. If you're buying a product so you can buy other products, that's about the most pathetic waste of money I can think of. Fortunately, I didn't have to, Apple did and sold the world on it. Unfortunately, the sales pitch was the only good thing about it.
Mine does, but only 700mb of mp3's sucks asshole.TheEternalPessimist wrote:

Buying a 30gig in car mp3 player + a portable 30 gig mp3 player cost much more then buying a 30 gig ipod and car adapter.
Its not the popularity itself, its the market that popularity brings. I didn't buy an ipod so I could buy accessories for it, I bought it because I wanted a portable MP3 player with large storage capacity that could be integrated with my existing car stereo. Find me a cheaper way of doing that. Its added functionality that I want, made available to me, that I only have to pay for if I choose to.Defiance wrote:

Ibought an ipod because it was fucking cool, i won't lie.
And you lie to me, and say you'd have a 911 GT3 (also known as a 917 GT3) over a Aston Martin DBS.
Bearing in mind the Porsche is quite faster, but just fucking look at the Aston Martin.
Everyday people pay for image over performance.
