I was looking around in my house for some parts for my sisters computer, and stumpled across some old parts.

A AMD K6-2 300 Diamond Processor - Unknown amount of Mhz.

3 64MB PC100 DDR RAM blocks and 1 block of 256MB PC2100 DDR RAM

A 3D Labs Permedia AGP gfx w. 8MB RAM

A PaliDaytona Geforce 3 gfx

A ASUS A7V333-X Socket A Motherboard

A EliteGroup Socket A Motherboard

A Hitachi 6.4GB Quantum Fireball HDD

A Creative Soundcard

The computer my sister are getting are:

AMD AthlonXP 1800+
ASUS A7N8X-XE Motherboard
1.5GB RAM
Leadtek FX5200

That computer I'm getting around christmas '08 or something.

What should I do with the other parts?

I'm in need of a Socket A mobo and DDR RAM

I'll pay for shipping
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Only really old or broken stuff goes on my wall. The fastest working CPU on my wall is 633MHz.

No it isn't. ISA is.

GeForce 3 is actually pretty new, 2001-2003 stuffs. And Socket A has got CPUs up to 3200+ with pretty decent FSB speed. There were even plans on dual-core CPUs for Socket 462. And they still make AGP cards today.

It was only the hardware I mentioned in my quote that was bought in '98.

And I Denmark you can only buy 2.0Ghz CPUs for sokcet A.

And it costs 654DKK, and with shipping over 700DKK.

Awesome !

I ripped apart my old comp on of the other days and my stuff is even a tad older. (I guess.)
Gfx is a ELSA Winner 1000/T2D with 2MB RAM
Next to that we have a Creative Soundblaster 16 bit (if I´m not mistaken)
The RAM says "32 MB DiMM MD 602" on it
And the CPU is a Pentium MMX, 133 Mhz as far as I remember.
Did not check on the Mobo

Ah, good times...

I probably still have the 1st Mortal Combat on one of the drives.

SoundBlaster 16 is seriously the best sound card ever made. It's got enough power to run two 6" speakers.

Yeah. I'd almost buy one for 20€.

If you can be arsed, send one of those cards to me They're great clockers.

And paying 87€ for an Athlon XP is just dumb. ASKING 87€ for one is also dumb.
