What kills me is that it's perfectly OK to make porno with people eating each others feces and urine yet it's determined that having sex with a prostitute with a condom on is "unsafe". WTF I ask, has this world come too?

Yes. Which is why I'm not a fan of any of this.

I am a human.  If I wanted to sell my body, why should anyone stop me?  Human trafficking would still be illegal, and legalizing it would allow some sort of regulation.  How would legalizing prostitution contribute more to the demand (demand for sex is a constant, forever).

They make the choice to make sex merchandise. And, no they don't need emotional/psychological protection they are not being abused and do not need: counseling, religious sentimental considerations, value judgments, etc. In fact I don't like the idea of it because it is so pragmatic & business-like. They take something erotic; natural; fun; kinky-fun; a human play-zone; naughty-fun bits; and turn it into something dull and utterly fake (I feel the same way about porno; & the sex industry in any form). They see a need/desire in men - that's all - and then exploit that weakness in men. I mean, come-on now(! ?), how successful do you think male prostitutes/escorts are; emphasis on how? Successful if he's servicing gay-men(!); meaning they're servicing men to. The truth is they are exploiting you... not the other way around.

Instead we should create a government ministry of sex to advance the hotness of women and to advance this idea/social paradigm: "Servicing men it's free and it's fun!"

Also the Ministry of sex could:
1.) Provide no interest loans for high quality boob jobs.
2.) Give proportional tax-credit to girls who frequent the gym. The size of the tax-break; tax-credit; being determined by a yearly interview with an Ministry rep. to determine; hotness, maintenance of hotness and some other basic female weight issues.
3.) Pole-dancing lessons would...

How about funding research to analyze the natural sex drive in men, with the possibility of genetically altering the female mindset to enjoy sex as much (or more) than men before birth?

No need for such research.  Women love sex as much as men.  Issue is the social stigma.  Problem is that when women show the want, they are labeled as whores or sluts.  Take Lindsey Lohan for example.  We as men have to get the word out that's it's cool for women to ask or initiate sex.

No, women do not need it as much as men. What the hell do you think this thread is about? What prostitution is? Whom they service? LOL, if you think it's women. Are you living on the same planet? Do you masturbate? Do you openly acknowledge the frequency of your masturbation? Etc.... Men are seed spreaders. Nature/evolution has made us that way.

... and of course(!) the newly implemented Ministry of Sex could help with that (stigma thingy) to.

LOL.  You're way too serious. Heartburn issues.  Seriously, you've never had a woman tugging at you and asking for some?  A girlfriend or wife who regularly shops Victoria's Secret?  Yes, we need it more, but that doesn't mean women don't want it too.

And it's a principle I disagree with. I don't think that women (or men) should be given the opportunity to lower themselves to that level. While I can acknowledge that maybe legalizing this will mean better health and treatment of these women, I still disagree with the principle of the matter, and believe that you shouldn't be allowed to sell yourself.

You can't legislate morality.  Granted, the human trafficking aspect puts me on the fence about this issue as well...

I think the human trafficking would/could be at least curtailed through regulation, if that was a stipulation of legality.

"Other people shouldn't be able to do it because I don't like it".  Imagine if everyone went around with such an ignorant mindset...I am thinking to myself, this gets my "absurd comment of the day" medal.

In principle, I definitely agree...  Many of our social ills result from that mindset.  Prohibition was probably the best example of ignorance in action.

I think simple regulation is not enough - I believe this both in this case and in the case of weed legalization. I am naive in the way that I cling to the law as something that will ultimately stop something from happening, but it's an ideal I'd like to stick to.

It's not "because I don't like it". It's because it is fundamentally wrong - just as human trafficking is wrong. While this is a grayer area than the other, I still believe that they fall into the same category. That is not to say that I truly think that it will make much of a difference in a good way, but it's a principle I stick to.

Yeah, some people would call me an idiot for that

WTF!! Seriously?
There are such things as male escorts/gigolos/prostitutes/strippers who service the needs of women, and they are just as successful as female escorts.
http://www.escortsforwomen.com/rates.html
http://www.sydneymaleescorts.com.au/services.html

If you want more... just search google there are hundreds if not thousands of them.

Your ideas come straight out of religious stereotypical cultural expectation, not from fact. Biologically women have just as high a sex drive as men, in some cases higher especially after ovulation. They may be more picky with whom they have sex but this is because they get 1 chance in a pregnancy to get the right genes while men can procreate with as many women as they are able to. Prostitution, porn, strippers, sex, etc are not the indulgences of men alone, but many women who would other wise indulge, have been taught from a young age through the culture that to do such things is wrong (and un-ladly like).
