Upgrade Or New Computer?

For the past few days, I've been thinking of upgrading my computer since I can't run new games . I also have not build that computer that I am using. So should I upgrade my computer or should I wait and buy new computer?

Windows Xp Service Pack 2
AMD 3500 2.19 ghz
1.50 gb of ram
Geforce 6600gt 128mb

Upgrade To
Windows Vista
AMD 6000 3.0 ghz
4gb of ram

Well, if your mobo supports the 6000+, I say upgrade.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

The new one will rape the upgrade. You could save yourself some money by getting a smaller PSU and reusing your case if the old one is any good.

New PC is total rape. But one thing, is that new PC meant for multitasking or for pure gaming? If its for gaming go with the E8400, if not stick with the Q6600 and 950watt is pure overkill, 600/650 watt should do fine enough.

EDIT: /hates EU. The E8400 is $259.99 on Newegg, which is about 150 euro's. Cheapest one I could find was around €190's. Damn EU taxes and what not.

Yeah, I will be using the computer for gaming. I also want to run SLI so I thought that I would need 950w power supply. Can you guys tell me if this power supply is good enough to run my new computer that I want to get and two video cards?

750 Watts is enough, but still overkill IMO. An 600-650 watts (A-brand)PSU will do fine with 2 x 8800.
Case looks fine, only thing that might be a problem is fitting in the 8800GTS's, they are quite long. But if you measure your case, that shouldn't be an problem.

The current case has only has only four expansion slots which is not enough to fit two 8800gts and a sound card, so I will need to buy new case. I think that I will wait and buy new computer.
