I just bought the game today and haven't played much yet. I was playing on Biohazard and I kept getting killed by someone's 'bio goo' randomly. Does the goo act as some sort of mine or is their a function on the gun that I'm unaware of?

Thanks

Right clicking should drop a "goo mine".

The longer you hold the right mouse button, the bigger the "mine" will be.
..I think.

I've only played the demo.

Green globules that stick to everything they touch are products of the bio rifle. The bigger the globule, the more has been pumped into it (additive left clicking) and the more it'll hurt if you step in it. Giant globules may be tossed by holding the right mouse button until it stops making a schlorshing sound, then releasing (usually instant death if it hits, if you discount the ludicrously short amount of time it takes for your health to drain out).

In the right hands, it's one of the most dangerous weapons in the game.

I recommend mastering secondary flak before practicing up with a bio rifle.

Its definitely a game where you have to think a lot faster.

General best tip for UT3 is to simply practice, practice and practice some more...

Reflexes, map-knowledge, power-up locations/respawn timers, general weapon technique etc...

All takes time and lots of dedication (and optional patience/tolerance ).

Haha, yeah. I must be missing that. I gave up on UT3 ages ago. I never rage... or at least not til I got UT3. It was my first in the UT series and was annihilated on end, match after match. Admittedly, I got slightly better with practice but was still getting owned far too much for my liking lol

I cant stand that game, I played it for 5 minutes and had no idea what was going on. People were flying around and I couldn't hit shit. I eventually gave up

Yeah, it'd be all quiet and you walk into a room where there's lasers going pew pew. Ten thousand people are jumping up and down on the spot whilst spinning and twirling spouting green goo and more bullets than you could fit in a cow and then before you can saw "Woah..." you're dead.

tbh UT3 takes more team work than most games, getting the enemy flag aint a case of grab and run unless you wanna get raped, you need people covering your back and you need fast reactions.
