Where can I find... (potassium nitrate, aka salt peter)

Where can I find potassium nitrate, or salt peter as it is better known. I've heard you can get it from gardening stores and stuff like that, but I cannot find it anywhere. I have tried all the big ones like Home Depot and Wal Mart already, anyone have any other ideas? In the US too please and thank you.

lol... Even on that cheap-chemicals web site, its $5.40 a pound. That guy in the video burned up 7lbs of it in that box along with 10lbs of confection sugar @ about 5 bucks a lb...that's an $90 smoke bomb. I'd say save the nitrate for making black powder and if you want smoke do what locoloki suggested and set a tire on fire.
