Wave being auto-muted.

Sydney: 2λчиэλ; +783|7118|Reykjavík, Iceland.

I don't know wtf is going on, but every now and then my sound goes away, the "wave" in sound controller is being automatically muted for some reason

Never happened until I started using XP x64.

Anyone know wtf might be causing this? It's annoying as hell!

Because 64-Bit is not auto compatible with every program; since almost all were made for 32 bit systems. And besides, i dont even see a reasonable difference between the 2 to warrant upgrading.

I specifically downloaded 64 bit versions of the sound drivers.

It seems to happen on 3 occasions:

1. Starting the PC
2. Opening/Closing DVD drive
3. Plugging/Unplugging USB device.
