hey guys

Got about ... ~£35 for some nicer earphones than what i've been using currently ... I've found some Shure E2C's for £35, anyone have them? I just listen to dance or metal music most of the time but I figured I use em everyday so i'll get plenty of use outta em. Atm i've been using;

Having never owned a "decent" pair of earphones I have no idea what to look for ... looking for feedback from zimmer/Jens whom I know know their shit with audio stuff

Will I notice a difference with the Shure's? Are they good value for money? Are they the best 'phones i can get for ~£35?

EDIT : These are for on the move, in-ear phones

I use and have used Shure e2cs for about a year now, got them last year on my birthday and it's coming up again in a few weeks. They're very durable and have pretty good sound. For dance you shouldn't have any problem whatsoever, the mid and treble are great though sometimes it seems the bass is lacking. That's true on most earbuds though, so if you don't mind the bulk go with headphones for better audio quality.

Yeah they are pretty rare in shops, best bet is to buy online. I've had two pairs, the first I had for three years and went though hell! Hiking/cross country and stuff, they never fall off and sound great.

I have Shure E3C's and I can't wear them when I'm walking around. The fit has to be airtight and the impact of footsteps moves them tiny amounts that are enough to break the seal.

For what it's worth, they sound awesome when they are in my ears properly.

2nd: BOSE's

Bose seem to be £70+ which is way too much for me
Sennheisers i've seen a few but most places seem to consider the shure's superior, the in-ear stuff anyway

I agree. I have the CX300s and they are better than the E2Cs and other Shures ranging up to £70-80 and for a far lower price. I can't stress enough how great these headphones are. And remember, they have a 2-year guarantee!

But I've found the E2C's for £35 delivered

Atm the CX4's are £33.99 and the CX5's are £49.99, I've found the CX5's for £39.99 delivered, but the E2C's are still only £35 delivered
