Fuck pdf! I'm not insralling acrobat! Could you post a screen/copypasta them?
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

And this should impress me how?
Well, least when you put it in your case, you have a nice black PCB to look at instead of that horrible green shit . Thats about the only good thing lmao_NL_Lt.EngineerFox wrote:

lmao... impressive... my 8800GTX had black PCB...
Now I just want a fix for me so I can move forward in the tri-fire rig build....
from AMD forum biatching with me:
"When playing WoW the GPU speed is constand 300Mhz.. It refuses to increase clock-speed."
Finally some justice...

Hmm its not Dx10.1, I thought that they were going to make the new ones DX10.1 compatible as well.

I just hope the 8800GTS 512 will still be in stock is summer so i can buy another one for sli. Anyone think I should buy one now? I've got the cash, but didnt want to buy it until I started building my rig.
EDIT: Did anyone see that 128GB/sec bandwith? Im topping out with my GTS at 70.4, with the same stats...

If it's better than the 9800 GX2 (which seems likely), I'll get it. I still want Quad SLi, but hey...more performance matters.
High paying job ftw

so...what's the price?
Probably like $450-525 USD.greensprite wrote:

That's just an estimated guess, though.

They haven't released specs for the 9800GTS yet have they?
Thats in my reasonable price range

The old GTX's were that expensive, then price drops came.greensprite wrote:

Actually, when I bought my GTX in June '07, it was 550 dollars...and it was from EVGA, the least expensive GPU maker.aimless wrote:

So if it's anywhere in between $450 and $500, I'll be happy.
9800GTS = 8800GT OC + 2nd SLi connector if I remember right...Stimey wrote:

edit: 9800GTX is 8800GTS G92 OC with new PCB, cooler and 2nd SLi connector.

They aren't the least expensive. Obviously the best, but not least expensive.Poseidon wrote:

And looking at the specs of this card, I don't see how it will be much better than my 8800 GTS 512.
Shame they didn't carry on the trend of having the actual connector ports parallel, but instead carried on the ugly serial theme. I'd much rather have one port above the other way.
Regardless, I'm nit-picking here because it's a really high end card. The only thing that'll top it is its price..

The one thing I find interesting is how they don't have my resolution (1680x1050) under the list of supported ones.
...I'm sure it will be, I just found it interesting.
