OH... that explains it...The_Sniper_NM wrote:
Thats my current GTS screen compared to the shown bandwidth by EVGA.

lol hahaah... eVGA what were you thinking... you can't combine the bandwidths of two seperate 256bit memory connections... it is still teh same since both GPUs use their own.The_Sniper_NM wrote:
Faulty info most likely.
We'll have to wait and see.
Btw, should I go ahead and buy another GTS, or do you think they'll still be in stock this summer?
EDIT: 128GB/sec is the 9800GX2's bandwidth, thats why.
He was talking about the specific time, and place he got it, back in summer 07.nukchebi0 wrote:
They aren't the least expensive. Obviously the best, but not least expensive.Poseidon wrote:

The old GTX's were that expensive, then price drops came.
It sounded more generalized than you interpret it.Bell wrote:

The man himself proves otherwise.nukchebi0 wrote:

Here too...hell, the GTS 512 is actually CHEAPER than some of the GTs right now.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

Bah, I was right, too. If that link is true, then that rounds out to around $460 USD.Poseidon wrote:
Probably like $450-525 USD.greensprite wrote:
so...what's the price?
That's just an estimated guess, though.

I tell you the GX2 absolutely smokes the GTX.xGj wrote:
So this one is 300 euros, I assume by the pricing the 9800GX2 will be better. I am worried about the performance gap then What will the 9800GTX have to offer?

no it doesnt..... it has 512mb per a GPU. vs 8800GTX with 768MB.xGj wrote:
Yea but a 9800GX2 has 1GB of memory right? I am confused now on what to buy I could get a SLi mobo and get another 8800GTX, but I'd also need a bigger case and maybe a bigger PSU (Enermax Liberty 620W right now).

Yea but I was assuming since it's one PCB with 2 GPU's you CAN actually add 512 by 512 this time.. Turns out I was wrong.
I'm utterly confused now lol. I searched a lot of sites for benchies of the 9800GX2, some say 50 fps on crazy high resolutions very high quality in Crysis, others only test it at medium and get 35 fps or something.. On lower reso's. Can you give me some benchies/proof of the GTX SLi being better? And can anyone also tell me what case I'd get best which has a lot of room.. Might aswell start a new thread
