Whats up with the bandwidth?
nothing wrong with the bandwidth tbh... pretty much the same as 8800GTS 512MB...
edit: lol wut it is a gpu-z screen of GTS....

Thats my current GTS screen compared to the bandwidth shown by EVGA.

Faulty info most likely.
We'll have to wait and see.
Btw, should I go ahead and buy another GTS, or do you think they'll still be in stock this summer?
EDIT: 128GB/sec is the 9800GX2's bandwidth, thats why.

lol hahaah... eVGA what were you thinking... you can't combine the bandwidths of two seperate 256bit memory connections... it is still teh same since both GPUs use their own.The_Sniper_NM wrote:

hmmm. dunno since the 8800GTS and GT will be replace by 9800GTS and GTX shortly.

Again - I'll wait till nVidia releases official specs and I see official benchmarks.

i know this is kinda a reandom question...
but whats the difference of the real clock and the effective clock
but whats the difference of the real clock and the effective clock
It sounded more generalized than you interpret it.Bell wrote:

I'm gonna wait and see on this one, if it's faster than the 9800GX2 I'll get it, but the fact nVidia just continued on building with their G92 on their new top-end cards bothers me a bit. What if we will see a totally new fast chip shortly after this release? I won't be happy
The man himself proves otherwise.nukchebi0 wrote:

Here too...hell, the GTS 512 is actually CHEAPER than some of the GTs right now.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

Bah, I was right, too. If that link is true, then that rounds out to around $460 USD.Poseidon wrote:

so...what's the price?
That's just an estimated guess, though.
Giggity.

prices start at 190€
So this one is 300 euros, I assume by the pricing the 9800GX2 will be better. I am worried about the performance gap then What will the 9800GTX have to offer?
I tell you the GX2 absolutely smokes the GTX.xGj wrote:

And 8800GTX is SLI smokes the 9800GX2 in Crysis and at high res. Crysis loves the 768MB memory of 8800GTX

Yea but a 9800GX2 has 1GB of memory right? I am confused now on what to buy I could get a SLi mobo and get another 8800GTX, but I'd also need a bigger case and maybe a bigger PSU (Enermax Liberty 620W right now).

no it doesnt..... it has 512mb per a GPU. vs 8800GTX with 768MB.xGj wrote:

9800GTX has 512MB too.
from above ^^

Yea but I was assuming since it's one PCB with 2 GPU's you CAN actually add 512 by 512 this time.. Turns out I was wrong.
I'm utterly confused now lol. I searched a lot of sites for benchies of the 9800GX2, some say 50 fps on crazy high resolutions very high quality in Crysis, others only test it at medium and get 35 fps or something.. On lower reso's. Can you give me some benchies/proof of the GTX SLi being better? And can anyone also tell me what case I'd get best which has a lot of room.. Might aswell start a new thread

Let's see, I just got about, 560 euros extra, + if I sell my current case (Thermaltake Soprano) + Motherboard (Gigabyte P35-DS4) and PSU (EnerMax Liberty 620W).. Erm, I guess I can get 300/350 euro's for those last three? (correct me if that's too high/low).. So yea, another GTX is about 280 euro's at it's cheapest, then a SLi motherboard and a strong PSU so I can Tri-SLi later on if I want to. Maybe I can do that even instantly, but does a 1000W PSU make your electricity bill go up a lot? Even when it's not fully used? Or can I do Tri-Sli with 850W or something too.. Guess it's just that I just woke up I can't figure out anything on my own this morning -.-
-edit-
Just found out I can get an 8800GTX cheapest for 249 euro's, XFX that is, now I have a Club 3D, shouldn't matter right? Anyway see above questions too please
