That's what I was thinking... I've been sitting here an hour trying to get this working... I don't even want to play it anymore, I just want to beat it!Mitch92uK wrote:

Is it because I'm using the older version Kyle linked?

Lol'd, my oblivion folder has 9 GB worth of mods now, when you replace every texture in the game it tends to use a lot of spacehenno13 wrote:

6.5 minutes, still extracting. Onto part 4 of 6. This is one big file!
10 minutes now, on a RAID 0 array, onto Part 5 of 6!
Alright, 10:15 to extract...! Time to start the installer.
Installer is telling me that it "can take up to one hour" - whaaaaaaaaat!?
Update: Installed fine...added shortcuts to STEAM and will give it a whirl tomorrow. It did give me a warning that I do not have 4GB of RAM though!

I tried this a few years ago and very recently seeing where he's got himself. He's lost the plot. It used to be about high resolution textures, not how many Alyx skins with perky nipples we can put into a mod.
Before I attempt downloading and installing, which seems to be a challenge in itself from the posts here....does anyone even know if it is worth it? Like does it add anything really? Or just add "Alyx skins with perky tits" and all. Cause thats just stupid.

Ya, its called a mod. Meaning, modification. Meaning, its strictly OPTIONAL. Meaning..... stfu k?djphetal wrote:
Are you fucking kidding me? The person in that picture is not Alyx Vance. See... what made Alyx a cool character is that she was not oversexualized. A real woman who kicked ass. This new Alyx absolutely sucks... it's just like what they did with Zero Suit Samus, for all you Metroid/Smash Bros players.
I'm kinda appalled, to be honest.
Good thing Valve didn't do that... and most certainly won't do it either.
sorry thats too big for me, just for some better effects and some alyx models
may as well go to facepunch forums and download some alxy model pack for gmod

Did you guys even read my first post? ;/
They made Alyx look masculine.
I think its a preatty good idea. You get a longer game with the plus episodes. And the story continues.David.P wrote:
Too bad Valve had to fuck up HL2 with episodic content.
I liked playing the current two episodes!
Alyx looks wierd, like she's been stretched or something. Her stomach is longer than it should be.
Also I doubt she could kick off Zombies without those funbags getting in the way. Yeah, she's way to oversexualised, she's meant to be a kind of tomboy after all.
As to the other changes - who cares? The plane's a nice touch but it's unnatural! How the Hell could a plane survive a nose-first impact into the ground and stay almost completely intact?
5.3 Gigs for a multitude of new textures and a barbie-like unrealistic Alyx? Cool I guess but not really worth it in my opinion.

You can replace all the models with the original if you please. I'm not sure how the plane got there but I'll tell you later today if I get to that chapter. All these little updates like new music, new textures and a cinematic theme make this mod look really good. Pics to come!Ty wrote:

I was looking through some other screens, that plane is not together in those, its all broken apart. That said, Im still debating getting this, is there anyone here who has actually played this latest version?Ty wrote:

Well, I ran it. You really do need 4GB of RAM! I'm going to try turning my details down a bit but then I'll lose some of the great effects. I was getting 11fps (lowest) on the very first scene when you are in the train (on HL2...the mod is for HL2, EP1 and EP2) - X1900XT 512MB
Jesus Christ, what the hell did he do? The textures and stuff dont look any different.kylef wrote:

You really don't. He hasn't made the maps any bigger which is what you would need for more RAM. I ran it maxed with my 8800GT and 2GBs of DDR2 just fine. It's just the texture memory that needs to be 512MB minimum. I only tried Half-Life 2 though, not Episode 1 or 2.kylef wrote:

I have a 8800GTS (320 Meg) and 2 gig 6400 ram. Along with E6850.
Is it worth the download?
Is it worth the download?
I'd say so White-Fusion. By the way, when it says "play / look in third party mods" it is referring to an old thing STEAM did I think. It should just appear in your STEAM list as usual - mine certainly did!
Nah I havent downloaded yet, trying to figure out if its worth it. I was just looking at the screens and it doesnt look different then reg Half Life, minus maybe the Guardian Antlion.kylef wrote:
