I currently have two routers, one is for my dad's work that is password protected (Main Router that is wireless - hooks all hard lines to throughout the house) and I have a router I just bought to use for my personal usage, Now I heard that you need to disable the NAT, to not complicate the main router, then to hook it up the router to a hard line. So basically I want to use it as a relayor of the wifi.

Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Edit: I'm using Wireless N Home Router

Reason for asking - Whenever I keep my personal router connected to a hard line, I can access wifi as well as use the internet from my pc (Hard line from a difference room) But as soon as I restart my PC, I must remove my internet wire and put it back in once windows boots up to allow me to access the internet.

you cant setup a router to bridge a wifi...  like   [wireless router]........signal.......[wireless router]__computer.

but you can hardwire your 2nd router to the first router and use both Ethernet and wireless connects from your 2nd router.  However, even if you connect to the 2nd routers wireless, it will still be on the same network as your dads network / computer.  so if you dont have a password on the 2nd router's wireless, people will be able to connect and access your dads stuff.

Yes, I got it figured out now. Thanks!

I live in the suburbs. Houses are spread pretty far. I'm probably the most computer knowledged person in the mile radius. I'm not worried about anyone else accessing my wifi. However, just for precautions, how would I go about putting a password on the router? The same way I went in to disable the NAT stuff?

Can't give you a step for step guide right now but look in the router config for a WEP/WPA key.
