Devil's Perch???

How do you write that map name to search on it? Whatever I write it just won't appear! Found a Tv2 server with the map name when I searched for "night maps" then I found it. But when I tried to search only by map name the search engine wouldn't locate it?

Yes, yes. I have the right filters.

I would just write "perch" in the level name, but almost no servers run it anyway sadly.

Aye, seen a few 24/7 DP's in the past, had some great games on them...some with kmal Try Gotland, they rotate all SF maps - with vehicles, I might add.

Ha!!! Figured it out yesterday! By typing "Devil" you'll find those servers.

And Steelie/Snake, you're right. There is a couple of 24/7 servers there, but sadly no people on those...

Have very poor stats on that map and I'm eager to make them better!

Well you could allways ask some people on BF2s.com to join a Devils Perch map with you

True, we used to have a small 16 slot clan server which had SF, including Devil Perch, nobody joined. Guess people don't like the darkness

i love perch, one of the best maps hands down. great balance, vehicles don't dominate, and it really highlights the way night vision, flash bangs, and zip lines should be used. i think the biggest problem players have with the map is that they don't know when and when not to use their NVG's, and until you figure out the lay of the land, it can feel like you are getting shot from all sides. it may be the best map in the game.

Devil's Perch is indeed a splendid map.
I like hopping around the island with a jet ski and capping the unguarded flags a lot.
And of course assaulting the sanitorium up the big stairs is always fun, as is defending it there.
And let's not forget the lockable main gate.

Another reason why not many people play the night maps might be their weak computers.
They probably can play normal BF2 maps quite fine, but when it comes to night maps and all the lights, it can quickly get unplayable.

I forgot which 24/7 Perch server it was, but T0mHank5 & I got shown the door. The admin(s) were getting owned. They banned him for flying by the uncap, mind you the AA was the other direction & we didn't fire one shot by the uncap. I only got kicked, so I guess that tells you who was owning a little harder .

Oh yeah, the point I was trying to make was: "Don't improve your stats too much, or you might get shown the ban-hammer or kick-stick."

if tomhanks was flying on perch, i would've banned him too for blatant hax...

but if you were talking about leviathan, just ask him who showed him how to play that map

Doh, thanks for the correction. I haven't played enough SF, but I have noted that there is no helo on the perch. Thanks Steelie. By the way, nice playing Surge with you the other day.
