Am I alone in having a windows install with very few problems? I never crash, rarely ever get error messages, and it does what I want it to do. When I do have problems, they are caused by shitty programs and uncertified drivers, which I do not blame MS for.

Same here. Everybody uses MS as a scapegoat. Sure, some things are wrong with Vista/XP...but usually it's just a driver. And that's not MS's fault. For example, my BF2 doesn't work with vista for some reason. I don't blame vista, I blame EA for not making it compatible.

When you buy a Ford the Ford salesman says it might get stolen if someone brakes the windows but when you buy MS Windows Bill Gates says their product is the safest so far and there will be no security problems, the don't even tell you to buy AV as soon as you install their product ( cos you need on when using their stuff).

If MS included AV, it would probably end in antitrust violations. The security center on XP will tell you if you have AV installed, and recommends that you install and run it if you don't. What more could they do?

And you don't have to use AV, I don't and haven't had a virus for years (and that was when I was using AV). I'm not saying don't use it, just saying that it is possible to not get viruses.
