I just got Crysis and when messing with the settings I see theres minimal difference between settings.

1680x1050, all very high, 2xAA = 9-11 FPS
1680x1050, all very high , no AA = 15-16 FPS
1680x1050, all high , no AA = 20-25 FPS
1680x1050, all medium, no AA = 20-27 FPS
1680x1050, all low, no AA = 20-29 FPS
1280x720, all low, no AA = 22-30 FPS
800x600, all low, no AA = 20-35 FPS

I thought there would be more difference between low and very high settings. Like playable and un-playable but in general its below 30 FPS . Is this the same for anyone else?
I thought I had an 'above average' PC unless it something bottlenecking. I think CPU might be suspect so I ordered an E8400.

My first guess would also be CPU.  Your RAM is above average and your GFX is nice, so I think a new CPU would boost you greatly.

ATI cards just plain suck on Crysis. I'm sorry to say it, but if you check all of the newest benches out there you'll see that these cards just don't perform as well in this game as their Nvidia counterparts.

Also, you may have to restart the game whenever you change settings to get optimal performance. I don't know what the deal is with this game, but whenever I change settings without restarting, performance barely changes at all.

I know ATI cards don't have amazing performance but I expected something a little better than this. I started the game up on high settings and didn't change anything and the game ran really well. So you could be right about the having to restart after changing settings for better performance.
