As the title says my card stops to work ( 7900 ) and i sit and watch a black screen in the beginning i just needed to reboot cut the power for it to work. But then it went dead for a week but as a miracle it started to work again no probs at all for a few days then the black screen again.

I´m using the the integrated graphic card right now to be able to go on the comp at all but i´m pretty clueless is it the card it self that´s broken? or something else? it´s been occuring some other weird stuff to, the computer lost all drivers for my mice and stuff alike that makes me wonder if the problem lies elsewhere.

Any input appreciated as of now i tend to send the computer away for some vacation and fixes.

Difficult to assess remotely.

If the on-board graphics are working OK, then it suggest there is a problem with the card, but the only way to be sure is to swap it out with another card.

What do you mean by "lost all drivers for my mice and stuff like that"?

There are other possibilities, but I would also suspect the PSU, particularly if it's old and/or cheap.

I have had a few hang ups, freezes when booted i had to reinstall drivers for the mice, keyboard and something else i can´t recall that felt abit awkward.

The comp had a couple of years ( 2 ) so everything aint new exactly what makes me so clueless is that it started to work prefectly fine again after a week like nothing had happened even if it only was for a few days.

I´ll see if i can borrow another card to try it out.

I'm suspecting your PSU even more now.

How old is it? What make? Have you added any new hardware that might have pushed the overall power requirements too high?

If you can, check the output voltages (with a multimeter preferably, or via software) - are they within 5% of what they should be (ideally, within 3%)?
