FF is fast enough for me, thanks.

Officially, Safari is the fastest browser in the world right now.

Safari is also probably just as, if not more, stable than Opera and FF.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but try and get your facts right.
Not even FF3 or Opera9.5 beat Safari in speed. Their KHTML engine and WebKit are the fastest in the world.
Why is Opera not mentioned once in that article?Zimmer wrote:

All I see is it been compared to FF2 and IE7, not Opera at all (or even FF3). Prehaps i'm blind, but I even tried a CTRL + F.
Any have linky which compares Safari 3 to Opera?
That test doesn't include Opera. And this site makes me want to puch teddybears with it's unprofessional "test" with no details included.Zimmer wrote:

but tbh in my experience opera is faster.
Miggle said it. There is a huge article on it, but I couldn't find it.
It IS faster at times. But Opera is more optimised for Windows usage.
If we compared the normal Safari ( i.e Mac one ) to Opera/FF/IE, then it would come out on top.
Safari is now based on webkit. Go try it ( webkit ) and you will see how fast it is.

download the new beta of firefox, just as fast, has more features and it actually has a registry (important if you ever want to delete it)
I like Safari; don't get me wrong. But I still prefer Firefox. I've customized it very nicely and it does everything I need it to do.Bertster7 wrote:

Safari is rubbish. It's faster at loading images than FF or IE, that's about its only saving grace.
I must have missed the part of the article that even mentioned that FF3 or Opera exist. Care to point it out? Safari was wank the first time they brought it out for the PC. I really can't be bothered to give it another shot.Zimmer wrote:

That's because they've ignored them since they are faster than Safari.ghettoperson wrote:

Webkit is full of bugs too. Horrendous browser.
Though FF3 is not without its faults. Some pages do load ludicrously slowly on it. But not many and the bulk of pages load faster on it than anything else.

Yeah I was going to say they were faster, but couldn't be bothered with the flaming I'd no doubt get from Zimmer.Bertster7 wrote:

Wow, nice. This seems like a really nice stripped down browser. Great if you need to test stuff between browsers. Thanks.

IE are the worst browsers you can get. You'd be better off using Lynx (well, maybe not).
Laugh all you want but there was a big review about browsers and Safari and Opera have the biggest security issues. It was tested will all the latest updates applied.Bertster7 wrote:

Also reeks of bullshit. Exploiting IE6 is super easy (I've tried a few little exploits on it and they're easy as anything to pull of - ActiveX stuff and help files being able to execute code, that sort of stuff). Everything I've ever seen/read/observed indicates that those browsers may have more security issues, but they are far less serious than those found on IE.
Source this because as far as I know, Opera is the most secure browser..Sup wrote:

You only tried exploiting IE6 and yet you say it has the most serious issues. Try exploiting other browsers first before making such statements. This test was in a magazine that is being released in all major languages. If they say IE6 is better than Safari regarding safety then it is true.Bertster7 wrote:

Are they the official browser, out right this moment? No. So I will leave them till they are actually out. Once they are, then they will be faster. But right now, they are not ( referring to FF2 and Opera 9.2 )
Thanks for listening.
That is bs, opera is the most secure by far..Sup wrote:

You supply no evidence for your claims, whereas DU does.
You then go on to say "It was written in PCformat". Great, now that just hits me on the head and makes me go
"Ooooo, now I understand why it's so insecure".
Not.
Expand and give evidence, and then maybe I will consider your point.
Also, I was kidding about the "kthxbai". I never do that, it was a joke and it wasn't aimed at you in particular .Sup.

Opera 9

Safari 3 for Windows
That really speaks for itself.
