I couldn't believe it. A proper 24" VA based panel for £250. It's insane. They're usually about £450+.

Forget all these cheaper Samsung and Dell TN panels. This is way better. Lower build quality, but much better image and that's what matters.

Great bargain for anyone needing a new monitor.

One flaw with it is that it has no HDCP.

That is a nice price

24'' monitors go here for about 300-400 Euro's, prices just really dropped hard this year.

For a PVA panel....? On Newegg (yeah I know that's the US) the panels going for a little over $400 seem to be TN based pieces of shit.

To give you some idea of UK prices for comparison:

That's a (slightly better) PVA panel from Dell. £430. Big difference in price.

ok compared to Samsung how is it superior (other than viewing angles) ... all other specs look the same except the response time on this panel is slower (unless that is a b->w time).

Colour reproduction is infinitely better.

TN panels have shit colour. Always.

Forget about specs when assessing monitors. They are exceedingly misleading.

I've got 2 24" Samsungs, a 24" Dell (the one I linked to earlier - which is very, very nice), that a 20" Belinea (102035W - damn nice display, though aging a bit). Both the Samsungs are TN based and aren't even close to the image quality all the other VA panels provide. Don't get me wrong, Samsung make great monitors, but TN panels are simply inferior when it comes to image quality up against VA based panels.

How can you tell it's PVA? I see no mention of it. Or are you going on the 'VA' in the name?

Make the large screen affordable to all this 24" is ideal for gamers and professional users who require a high resolution screen capable of delivering very impressive quality and extreme viewing angles due to the use of a VA panel within these monitors.
As well as:

The OcUK Value 24" LCD Monitor is the best value on the market, it features a PVA type panel and has DVI connections making it a great buy.
Also all the reviews and forum comments about it...

Apparently there have been a couple of bad batches (TN panels not PVA), but people who have received these have had no trouble RMAing them.
