surround sound in bf2 ?

currently using realtek onboard 7.1 sound with an old creative soundworks 5.1 pack

works for music and films, but im not sure what settings i need for surround sound in bf2 ?

Its only a temporary setup till i can get the z-5500's and use digital coax.

It'll use Direct X settings, so if you have things configured fine for everything else, it'll work.

Are you having a problem with it not working right?

Works for my by default, I have a X-Fi XtremeGamer and 5.1 speakers, set the Audio console to 5.1 and EAX in sound type in BF2.

im on onboard so im not sure if it supports eax

im using Software as the "audio renderer" otherwise i can hear loads of shooting even when im miles from the action.
