My excitedness(Yes, I know that is not a word) can not be contained right now. I start work at Lockheed Martin on Monday as a PC tech. I can't wait to start because I can move up in their Networking department in 6-12 months (that is my knowledge base) and get a nice pay raise as well. This job is in my field(obviously) from my Associates Degree I got on Sunday and my Bachelors goes into Security, which I'll be doing in Networking. I am really, really excited. /WIN
Hey my first name is Martin!
Oh and they were kidding, it was an April Fools joke

Oh, and can you help me with this Outlook thing? I want to get that thingy in the corner over in the other corner, but it says that I've made an error. Also, I think the printer is out of toner.
nice. is it the one in marietta? or do they have other locations?
Doesn't matter to me because I am getting paid very well to do that. Plus, I will be able to move into the section I want to be in in a few months.

You need a Secret Clearance to work there. I had one from my days in the military working as a Network Admin and they simply reinstated my clearance.steelie34 wrote:

Congrats! I hope to someday work for either Lockheed Martin or Boeing (guess I'd settle for McDonald Douglas if need be, maybe), probably on the aero engineering side, maybe test pilot?! (probably more of a dream to be a pilot than a reality: I don't have perfect vision, and I'm not in the military, which is where the jets I want to fly are). Anyways, Congrats again!
And don't forget to take some spy pics of the sweet planes over in skunkworks if you can! And post them here!

hehehe, I feel so bad for tech support guys...I can't imagine doing it over the phone, but then if I did it in person I would end up hitting some one.mikkel wrote:

(Not like I know computers well enough in the first place)
Congrats though man. Not flipping burgers FTW.

(More precisely, Boeing bought them.)

I don't think there is 1 actual location for Skunkworks. It was in Burbank, but I think it's just a division of Lockheed now - all over. I could be wrong though.
good job there Killer. my dad did that type of support for a company of retards. he had teh funny stories

Yes, I meant McDonnell. I read his incorrect name and then typed it myself. Without checking for accuracy after typing the post, it obviously got through.
cool. My dad used to work there as a mechanical/electrical engineer. And to someone who asked about Skunkworks, I'm not sure if there are multiple sites but I know there is one in CA which my dad worked at.
That was fucking great!usmarine wrote:
