Yesterday I bought a new ASUS (with proper sink + fan cooling) ATI Radeon EAH2600XT 256Mb DDR3,.. for only 59 euros

Installation went ok, I booted with a bluescreen, but I remembered I had it once before on this PC and it was the webcam. I pulled out the webcam deinstalled all it's drivers and voila! I'll look into that later, I got it to work before so I'll manage again.

Now some video's either show some blocks or have this blurry beam at the bottom. Most video's play fine though and I've always had the blurry beam with some videos even when this whole PC was brand new. Also, I can play Call of Duty 4 with my system's max settings and 4x AA without any trouble and pretty fast (haven't checked the FPS, but I'd guess it's about 50~70).

I reckon the video-codecs are just a bit flawed, but I've posted it just to check,.. it's still a bit odd.

Initial things:

- ensure latest drivers are installed;
- make sure that the card's temperatures are alright;
- make sure dust isn't an issue in your PC.

If all else fails...reply back!

Nope, no dust, latest drivers and 38 Celsius.

By the way; I used the recommended ASUS program to check the temperature,.. that's quite a dodgy program. Overclocking can be done by merely sliding some bars and default settings for fan-speed are "Manually Controlled". I'm gonna remove that program straightaway, I'm not into overclocking anyway.
